LOVE going here for happy hour and lingering until dark...their burger is crave-worthy and they always play great music! When I have the energy to stay up late, I have caught a few DJ sets and they are super fun and intimate....perfect for an old lady like me who doesn't want to go to a nightclub. They also have nice outdoor seating to enjoy the weather. Happy to have them in the neighborhood!

This place has so much potential but too much "too cool for you" attitude. Cocktails and food are surprisingly good but not good enough for the price point.

Can't speak to the food. Bartender, DJ, and Bouncers were all pretty rude.

Sat at the bar on a slow afternoon and Ben was amazing. Great drinks, great service and great conversation while killing some time. Would definitely recommend!

Cozy and dark bar. Perfect to have a first cocktail date or romantic cocktail with your hunny. Friendly staff that makes a good martini. Just came for cocktails this time, but next time will for sure try some food!
This place is the biggest let down. We live in the neighborhood and were told they were building a “welcoming neighborhood pub” but when they opened had velvet ropes outside with bouncers. They also have nights with no warning where it’s guest list only or try to charge you $1500 for a table inside. It’s such a shame because I would have loved to frequent the spot. The drinks and staff are mediocre. There are plenty of cooler places around in the area, skip this one. You can get a much better drink and service next door at Clark’s.

This is my last time trying to give Howards the benefit of the doubt. The service is the worst Ive ever experienced. The first time i went they had just opened and said, “yeah we’re going for kind of a Cheers vibe” i should have taken a hint from the red velvet rope and bouncer w a list/ bluetooth ? that this was never gonna be my neighborhood bar. Its the most pretentious place you could ever waste your money. Its like an annoying simulation of the experience of an actually cool bar. Ive been there before drinking, walked out for a smoke and saw the bouncer lying to the people still in line that there’s a private party going on inside. I don't write reviews often (except for Rosies next door which is equally bad) but these two places have gone beyond just being unwelcoming to making me feel less comfortable in my own neighborhood. The only fun you’ll have here comes despite their best efforts.

Came to Rosie's for the Paella on the patio experience. It was 95 degrees and they would not turn on the fans or misters on the patio and would not give us a reason why. So we sat at a tiny bar top. Told our server multiple times I was celiac and highly allergic to gluten but they brought out bread sitting a top my salad anyway. The paella was way too salty, the chicken was dry (not worth $34), and the steak frites was under seasoned. The wine was delicious and very unique and Justin was a delight but those two things are the only reason I would return.

Stumbled upon this place after grabbing coffee and and I was pleasantly surprised! The cozy booths, the kind bar staff, the cool music...It's refreshing to hear different music that what most of Austin is offering. We got there at happy hour so grabbed a drink and I ate probably the yummiest hot dog I've ever had. So random but it was bomb! It started filling up around 7p so we gave ourself some space and sat outside. Will definitely be back later in the evening to hear the DJ's and werk that cute little dance floor!

"Espresso Martini" When you come to a high price cocktail bar you expect drinks to be done right. However there was an intense lack of care put into the drinks served with a sense of entitlement from the staff. The top menu drink was the Espresso Martini, which per their "twist" does not actually contain espresso nor the other qualifying ingredients for it to be an espresso martini. Instead it was a cheap tasting, bitter cold brew poured from a tap shaken with vodka. If you've ever had cheap vodka and store bought cold brew then you can imagine what this tastes like.Comes for the vibes, experience all 500 sqft of them, and go enjoy your evening out elsewhere....
Howard’s is the worst bar experience ever!
