We made a reservation with them a month in advance, driving an hour to get there, only to find the door closed and nobody around. To add to the frustration, our reservation wasn't even canceled on OpenTable. We then contacted them as the sign on the door stated and they never responded.
Smoked Brisket bloody Mary, amazing. The brisket salt around the tim was a show stopper. The espresso martini was nice. The old fashion was very well-prepared and tasted amazing!Owner stopped by and spoke to us before our meal, very pleasant lady. Prices were suort affordable.Duck bacon a must

Sadly, Hudson's is not nearly what it used to be. We have enjoyed dining at Hudson's on the Bend for about 20 years now and have enjoyed their diverse menu, wonderful atmosphere, great service, and consistently wonderful food. Unfortunately, that seems to be a thing of the past. We dined there on a recent Saturday night to celebrate a family event and the once packed restaurant and bar were very quiet. The next thing I noticed was that their menu has only about 1/3 of the offerings it used to and the only game meat on it was elk. Next, half of our bar order was wrong; the sparkling wine was utterly flat and the bourbon based cocktail only had the mixers, no bourbon at all. The waitress was nowhere to be found so we had to run the drinks back to the bar ourselves where we noted several other customers also returning their incorrect orders. Half of the appetizers/salads we ordered were never delivered to us and when we mentioned it as our main dishes were served we were told they could bring it out in another 15 minutes or so. For a salad? No thanks. The elk and steak were well prepared and quite tasty; they got that right. Unfortunately, my shrimp and grits was terribly overcooked; the shrimp were tough like jerky and there were chunks of scorched grits that had obviously been scraped off the pan and plated up anyway. I sent that back and asked for a small, medium-rare filet. Shouldn't take too long, right? But no, when the waitress finally came back to the table 15-20 minutes she seemed confused when I inquired about the filet and then told me it would take another 15-20 minutes to bring that out. At this point the entire rest of my family had finished their meals so we asked them to cancel the filet. The manager finally came over and did comp us a couple glasses of wine but it still took 2 tries to get the check correct as they charged us for the items we never received. So sad to see their decline. Hudsons used to be one of my favorite 'special dinner out' places.

My wife and I was there recently to celebrate our 35th Anniversary and they greeted us knowing that. The bar provided each of us with a complimentary glass of Prosecco once we were seated. The food was very good. The atmosphere was quiet due to it being a Sunday evening.
Great place for great food and atmosphere. New owners with a new menu. Highly recommend for a great dinning

We've been to several iterations of Hudson's including the OG 20+ years ago. Several in the past have been hit or miss. Pleased to report the new owners have got it right. Lovely meal, great food.
New owners are doing a great job! So glad this place didn’t close, it’s one of our favorites in ATX!

Came here for brunch and the food was amazing. It had a rich Smokey flavor cooked to perfection. Perfect portions and a comfortable environment. Britney was my waitress and she was just awesome. Friendly smile, very courteous. I am definitely going back.

Wonderful evening. We had lamb, elk and wild mushroom gnocchi- delish. And a side of fries that were the best I've had anywhere. Paired with a perfect bottle of French wine recommended by the owner and a perfect crème brûlée. Cant wait to go back!

This was our first visit with the new owners. We were presently surprised. Service was exceptional, food and drinks were very good. I'm still missing some of the original Hudson's dishes, but I'm happy the restaurant has reopened and that business appears to be doing well. We will be back soon. Shrimp and grits were amazing!!
The elk backstrap entrée was delicious. The best I’ve had. The crème brûlée dessert was also exceptional. Recommended.
Wheelchair accessibility: We were in a wheelchair and had no problems at all.

Absolutely amazing (and not overpriced). New owners since last fall and it's incredible. The foie gras pear toast is incredible, my filet was so juicy and delicious (and locally sourced), the side of mushrooms I devoured, and my husband loved his cheesesteak special. The creme brulee was one of the best we have had..we will be back again!! I can't recommend enough.

The food and quality was exceptional. Really impressed with the presentation and the unique blends of flavors. The service was fair only because it was Valentine's day, very busy and the waitress was servicing 8-10 tables.
