Really tasty authentic Chinese food. Love it.

They might be really busy during peak hours.

Food is okay. Take out services always too slow. They only start making your order once you have arrived.

Hunan Bistro has so many delicious dishes(a lot of spicy options). They serve quite amount of food with reasonable price. We always craving their food. And dining in is also good, they remodel and decorate the restaurant. If you order through phone, it usually takes about 25-30 mins during week days. Highly recommend!

Our favourite Chinese restaurant in town by a far margin. The food is authentic, and can be very spicy if you have never tried authentic Chinese food (make sure to ask the waitress before ordering). The owner made new decor in 2025 and the new vibe is quite decent. They can be short-staffed during busy hours (weekend diner), so keep that in mind. The food is good enough for us to overlook it completely, but if you are used to 1 waiter busing 3-5 tables just know that they are not that.

The flavors were excellent and really authentic. Compared to other Chinese restaurants, it felt a lot less greasy. I got it to-go and enjoyed it at home—super delicious and definitely worth recommending.

A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering!

Hunan Bistro is truly one of those rare hidden gems that you almost want to keep a secret — but it's too good not to share. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm, cozy atmosphere and genuinely friendly faces that make you feel right at home.

The food? Absolutely delicious. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors that showcase the richness of Hunan cuisine. From the perfectly balanced spices to the quality of the ingredients, you can tell that real care goes into every plate. Whether you're a longtime lover of Chinese food or trying Hunan-style dishes for the first time, you’re in for a treat.

And the best part? The prices are incredibly reasonable — almost too good to be true, especially when compared to other local spots offering authentic fare. You get top-notch food and an inviting dining experience without breaking the bank.

If you’re in the area and looking for a place that combines authenticity, hospitality, and value, Hunan Bistro is an absolute must-try. A true standout in the local dining scene!

Ordered 5 dishes today, one of which was pickled mustard with fresh whole tilapia. The dish was $34.95 before tax, but it was disappointing because what we got was mainly fish bones and a lot of soup. I do not know where the fish meat went. I hate restaurants that treat their customers like fools.

Highly not recommended.

We drove 4 hours here with our service dog, the owner refuse us to dine in. We know that we had service dog and ask to sit at corner, not bother others. They said our dog has hairs, who doesn’t have hairs? Overall, very bad first impression and experience :(
