Came here on a Friday night at 7:30 PM. One parking spot open. I walked up to the front door and it was locked. People sitting inside. I had to go somewhere else to eat.

Great food. Quite warm inside and service was a little lax outside of food and drink running (bartender runs your drinks if not busy so you get them pretty much immediately). Service would have been perfect, had dietary requests been accommodated, instead of saying it’s already prepared and unable to be done, then when it comes out it’s obviously easily done.
Definitely recommend for a great food experience at an original Austin staple and authentic hometown experience.

This place is a little gem for good hot comfort food in Hyde Park. Quality, pricing, and portions are fantastic. My parents and I were lucky to have the most superb waiter. Simon was absolutely lovely! Impeccable service and genuinely kind. We will be back soon.

Stopped by for a late night dinner visiting Austin, service was amazing. I wish I remembered our waiters name, he was very attentive & had a great attitude. The food was absolutely immaculate! My husband got the smoked pork chop, and I got the bacon burger. Was very, very happy with everything! Price was super good too!

The smoked salmon patties were awful. Tasted like liquid smoke. Such a shame, since I have always enjoyed the food here. On the plus side, the fries and Wom Kim's peach pudding were excellent.
