Fantastic! I had a drink called Open Sesame that was perfect! My friend ordered a Tom Collins with a Japanese gin and it was so incredibly delicious! I recommend to all of my friends. It’s a small space with about 8 seats at the bar but it’s great to stop and have a quick drink or two while you’re out and about.

I went to Here Nor There back in 2019 and really enjoyed my experience there. When i heard there they had opened a sister bar that didnt require hoops to jump through to get a drink at i figured it be worth checking out.
I finally had my chance after seeing Purity Ring at a venue downtown, just walking distance to In Plain Sight. We walked in, was pleasantly greeted by the bartender.
The place is small and i personally like the lighting. The bartender was very nice. As others have said, some cocktails could have a little a little more liquid in those glasses, but what are served is a solid cocktail.
I believe i ordered something similar to an old fashioned and a boiler maker. I enjoyed my time at this small, cute, and colorful bar.

The bartenders are spectacular. Angela is so personable, kind, authentic, and thoughtful in her work. I love talking to her when I visit and I always leave with something insightful to share about bartending, drinks, etc. She always makes the experience so great for me and all the guests I bring over.
Although it is a smaller space to fit in, it feels so cozy and elevated. You can either stand if the stools are already taken or sit in the chairs right in front of the entrance. They have a great playlist so the vibes are always immaculate and their rainbow lights make everything feel vibrant and playful.
Now, on to their menu. Their menu is so interactive - it helps you choose drinks based off of your taste and what you are craving (categorizing drinks by their sweetness, sourness, etc). Their drinks are absolutely insane. I have never tried cocktails that feel so crafted to perfection as the ones that they make here. They have seasonal flavors as well as their classics, giving you the option to explore new cocktails or delve into the comfort of the classics. If you want to venture off menu, there is absolutely no problem either.
My recommendation, ask Angela for an incognito shot. It’s a vermouth apricot shot that I sip because of how good it is.
Do not miss out on going here. But also… don’t go too much so there’s space for us all.

We accidentally ended up at In Plain Sight while looking for Here Nor There and what a happy accident it was! We met Chad, the bartender, and honestly, what a legend. We ended up staying for a few cocktails because he was such a great lad.
Coming from Sydney, Australia, we thought we were spoilt for choice when it came to drinks, but the cocktails here were on a whole new level, smooth, balanced, and absolutely delicious. The bar itself is tiny (fits about 16 people), which makes for such an intimate, cozy experience.
We even got chatting to a group of locals next to us. It’s such a rare and wonderful thing to walk into a bar and instantly feel part of a community. Chad really set the tone for that; his passion for what he does was just beautiful to see.
If I ever make it back to Austin, I’ll 100% be back. Thanks for a fantastic night, Chad. It’s one we’ll remember for a lifetime!

Fun spot with delicious cocktails! Not a great option if you don’t drink/are with folks who don’t drink however. Only one off-menu non alcoholic item is available if you ask. I brought my partner who doesn’t drink so he basically just had to watch me drink a really fun cocktail which was fine once but this probably won’t be the spot I bring him/folks who don’t drink in the future
