Zero quality and high price. The samosas were stale when asked they lied on face saying made fresh. I tried mirchi bajji and masala vada, it’s bland and made with no care. I would never in my life I would like to risk eating at this filthy place. They just want to make money out of selling crappy food, not worth even a penny.

I ordered paneer pakoras and was given allo pakoras in the packet. After waiting for more than 30 minutes for my order the taste and quality was nothing close to tasty. Worst experience and not at all value for money.

this review is for the snack bar inside Manpasand Grocery store which is called "india gate". they have a wide variety of snacks and they all look great. i've had their samosas and chicken puff and even though the samosas ($1.80 each) look good they taste very bland and flavorless even the green chutney sauce sucks. the filling in the chicken puff ($4.50 each) is terrible and nothing like you would expect. i do not recommend either! the service is decent and the people are nice. it's casual just wish their food tasted better.

Got 16oz chicken curry for 14 bucks - it had just bones and skin!! Absolutely no meat .. Curry was ok! These people have the audacity to sell this extremely small portion of ok-tasting chicken curry with no meat from a self-service counter for $14 bucks!! Customers should boycott them!Same story with their puffs - 90% of the puffs is just puff pastry with very little stuff in it!Only redeeming item is the Tea!

Located inside Manpasand Store. Chicken fry from the counter has foul smell. I am sure they must have prepared it a few days ago or prepared with chicken which is bad. Visit this place at your own risk.

Located inside the Manpasand store. Good food options to grab & go while shopping at the store. They have fresh snacks and can make dosa, poori freshly to order. They also have many chat items.Only downside, they dont have any tables for you stand and eat

We came for a family celebration on a Friday afternoon. There were just a few people here. The staff was friendly & welcoming & we all chose the buffet. The food was fresh & homemade & the spice was perfect. This was a great place to relax, eat, visit & we stayed a little while. I highly recommend!

It used to be a 5, but now it's a 3Food: It was good but was not as good as it used to be. I guess they change the chef or something. If you have never had Indian food, I think this is a good place to start. They have weekend and weekday buffets so you can try a variety of food (weekend has less options). They also serve naan to your table as week. They change the food every time, so I recommend checking out their Facebook for a menu of the day. Service: They go the job done quick and they are very nice.Location: One point I would like to note is that their floor is very slippery so watch out!Price: It's gotten quite expensive. $15 for weekday buffet lunch. 17$ for weekend. I have no complain if the quality of food remained the same, but it had not. So I'm a bit disappointed

My girlfriend and I were a bit hungry while shopping and saw this spot in the corner of the market and thought why not?She and I ordered 2 good sized samosas (only $1.49/ea!) and a chicken kadai curry to share. The samosas are already premade under a heat lamp so while not fresh they have great flavor and are also just hands down great bang for you buck, but the curry was absolutely incredible; it was $11 but when served for dine-in is served in a (very deep) traditional metal curry bowl with tons of rice in a separate one. The flavors were just amazing and it came out piping hot, both my girlfriend and I couldn't stop talking about how good it was.I've seen other reviews discuss the seating and all that, but give them a break now, they're located in the corner of a traditional Indian food market. If anything, the flushed out florescent lights with only a few hap hazardly arranged tables and chairs and yet exceptionally great curry, all surrounded by a traditional Indian market kind of makes me feel like I'm on a street somewhere random in India eating the best food at the least suspecting place ala Anthony Bourdain style.Don't let the lack of fancy decor fool you, if you're looking for some authentic and delicious curry give this place a try.

High time to update my earlier 5 star review. Multiple times they missed the sides of my take out order. When it happened once, I made sure to check before leaving the restaurant. Had to remind them the next 3 times.Couple of times they missed chutney with Tandoori chicken.Last time I ordered, I waited more than 30 min in restaurant after the estimated pick up time coz they had catering orders to fulfil. Nobody greeted, nobody asked why I'm waiting, literally nobody cared that I exist in front of them for the first 15 min. Seems like they don't need customers. Lack of professionalism.Never going back again.

Ordered delivery through grub hub. Got the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. Both curries were too thin. The chicken breast was fine in both dishes, fairly moist. I ordered mild on one dish and it has a bit of heat to it, but not uncomfortably so. The portion sizes are good.

Gone out for lunch with my Indian coworker and he picked this place with lunch buffet, for $16 a person (expensive)Nobody was at the reception and that's fine, we could seat ourselves, and one of the workers just waved at us to come in.You grabbed your bottled water, plate (many were chipped), and off you go to the line. The food looked good though. There was also a corner table for snacks and tea but the tea station was not looking too clean. After getting food and seated ourselves down, we ate and it was pretty good. There was a person giving us a basket of fresh, warm naan. The naan was not bad, but then I noticed a baby roach crawling on my bowl of butter chicken. Then, I found another on the edge of my plate. Next, another was crawling on our table. We changed table after that - no more roaches this time, but I always felt that there was something small crawling on my foot.We finished and tried to pay. The cashier did not greet us and kept trying to fix the paper roll in the receipt printer though we were going to pay with credit and didn't need a receipt. There was no "thank you" or "goodbye".Not recommended at all.

Go here for a weekend lunch buffet. We went to India gate on a Saturday for a lunch buffet. The place wasn't crowded at all around noon. There were plenty of dishes in the buffet. Even more if you are a non vegetarian. The samosa chaat was the highlight of the buffet for me. They serve naan at the table. The naans are good and the curries are tasty. The place is cleaner than an average Indian restaurant. We paid around $15 per person for the buffet. They also have chai included in the buffet. Taking a star off as when I visited, a few customers complained that the chicken biryani. Even I noticed the weird smell of the bad biryani. They replaced it immediately. But they can do a better quality checks.
