I love Izumi! I’ve been here about 4 times and the food is always good. The staff is fast and friendly!
This is our go to spot for sushi. Every roll we have ever gotten has been either very good or excellent. They are kid friendly and are flexible with making substitutions for picky eaters. Overall, definitely recommended.

Wife and I got sick after eating here. Will skip the sushi next time. Service was good though. Felt a little expensive for what we got but that’s Austin.

The seared pepper tuna roll is CRIMINALLY DELICIOUS. 10/10. Must get.

Izumi Sushi is a solid choice for a casual meal. I tried their Boat A, which offered a nice variety, but the sushi wasn’t the best I’ve had—some pieces felt a bit lacking in flavor. However, the Chicken Teriyaki bento box was a standout; the chicken was tender and flavorful, paired nicely with rice, miso soup, and some other stuff. The udon noodles were also a highlight, with a delicious, hearty broth. While the sushi could use some improvement, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the bento and noodles definitely make it worth a visit.

Can't help but be disappointed the few times I've stepped in here. Both times I've seen bugs crawling . Couldn't come back after that

Visited during their happy hour and really enjoyed the selection. Felt like all you can eat sushi and the price wasn’t inflated like many other sushi restaurants but I’d highly going during happy hour to stretch your dollar and tummy further! Appetizers were appetizing and delivered on time. Wait staff was present and kind. I’m overall pleased with my visit.

This little spot is a gem. I’ve eaten here dozens of times, and the sushi has always been fresh. It’s also been equally good getting it to go on DoorDash.
The atmosphere is nice with elegant decor and low lighting.

Restaurantji Recommends
I placed my order at 12:20. It said 25-40 minutes and then gave me an estimated pickup of 1:05 pm. I did not receive my food until 1:23pm. It seems that the order was fired when I arrived. Absolutely unacceptable especially considering how long the wait time was to begin with, especially walking into a restaurant that was maybe 25-30% full. The host was nice, but horrendous operational procedure. The long wait time then having to spend 1/4 of my lunch sitting there waiting for my food that had been promised over 15 minutes prior. I appreciate it being fresh, but if i wanted to get there and sit and wait for my food to be cooked I would’ve dined in not ordered out.

It had been a while since we were in Izumi. Cody has left, Mina is gone and we didn’t see other familiar faces. The sushi was very fresh and our favorite rolls (wrapped in cucumber, no rice) were still just as good. Service was fine, not too distant and not hovering. All in all it’s a great place with fresh nigiri and creative dishes. We will be back!!!
I thought this was all you can eat dining like the 3 in San Antobio Texas but still excellent food ?
