American cuisine with an Italian flare. Food was decent, however my dish was lacking components. I ordered chicken and pasta and although the dish was delicious it really should have come with bread, any pasta dish should. My waiter was nice and polite, however, I was served my food by someone else so other than him taking my order and dropping off the check, I never saw him. I still gave a tip (doubled the tax) but he could have gotten a lot more had he been more attentive

As always, simply fantastic food and service. Easy parking. I've been here a number of times and have never been disappointed.

Food is amazing as always. The 13 spice pasta is my go-to dish! If I ever have extra room I try to squeeze in whatever their dessert special is!

Just tried jack Allen's even though I live nearby !!! There are just sooooo many places here in austin!! I had a craving for Mac n cheese and I love how they have chicken with it!!! Very good size portion I'll be ordering again!! They also have a great atmosphere and interior with the bar!! I stopped drinking so that's also part of why I don't go to eat always !!

The food was mediocre, and that is a first for Jack Allen's. We split the horseradish crusted salmon, meh. We also ordered the shrimp bites, and the apple crusted cobbler with ice cream. Again, meh. We had the crunchy catfish as an appetizer and I am happy to report it was still wonderful!

Fantastic portions, great food, excellent prices, good service. This restaurant is an old Austin establishment and it's earned all the incredible reviews it's gotten over the years. The happy hour is an especially great deal for the half off starters!

The friendliness of the restaurant staff was enough for me to fully enjoy the taste of the food. I'll always look for this.

This is a popular place for dining out. We made reservations for a special occasion today. Great atmosphere. Good for families, too. The service is excellent and always with a smile and friendly conversation. Delicious and abundant menu choices.

I love to order the chocolate mouse cake as an appetizer. Loved the trout on top of rice.

Brenda is my favorite waitress I’ve ever had here!! She’s amazing. Astute, kinda no pressure, quick, doesn’t rush things, and not awkward at all.

I also like how I asked for a few things and I didn’t feel like she was annoyed. I often feel waitresses are annoyed (or overwhelmed) when I make special requests like Gluten free or more hot water for my tea. But she welcomed it and was happy to help!

WISH:
I wish that there was a bit more on the gluten free menu. There seems to be a few items like the enchiladas that could possibly be made gluten free in the future. I was honestly dissapointed that the Barbados enchiladas were not Gluten Free. There’s a big population of us GF ppl in Austin.

But very much thank you for having a Gf menu at all!!

Much love and property to you!
Laurel
