Jack Allen's Kitchen Oak Hill

Hands down one of the best restaurants. Killer burger is amazing every time, sweet potato and regular fries make me okay with getting type 2 diabetes I could eat for hours. Appetizers and desserts are fantastic, I just wish I could come here more often but working 2 jobs Austin isn't cheap and I can't be spending more than is necessary to just get by.

The place was nice and the drinks and appetizers were good . But my husband steak was tough to eat. And you got be a special person to get seated fast.

Queso and guac were standard. Fried green tomatoes were fried to a point at which the tomato disappeared. Horseradish crusted salmon was recommended medium rare- order rare to medium rare- served well done. It was said to come with seasoned veggies (spinach mix). There was no sign of green vegetables on the plate, only onions, peppers and overcooked mushrooms. I requested a salad instead and it was served 30 minutes later after everyone was finished eating, dressed with ranch instead of on the side. Our server said that many people were having issues despite it not being a busy night for them. I understand we had a large table but this was pretty disappointing compared to my last meal at Jack Allen’s.

Had a great experience. Customer service in all areas was top notch. I went in the evening. Mood was great. Food arrived fast and appropriate temperature. And again staff was great. I'll go again when I have a chance.

Jack Allen’s is a go to for lunch with friends. The Hwy 71 location has a great patio with a view and a fireplace. Great salads, craft cocktails, wonderful service, and nice atmosphere.
