We've been coming here for years for lunch or after lunch beers. We like to sit outside and watch people walk by. We knew they added a BBQ menu and tried it some months ago, it's okay. We hadn't gone in a few months and went back and they no longer have their regular menu, just the BBQ which is disappointing for an Irish bar. We liked the fish & chips and other items they had before. The pretzel isn't on the BBQ menu, but we asked and gladly they still had that which is a large tasty pretzel. A food server gave us the pretzel, not our waitress and they brought no napkins. I had to ask for some at the bar and got bar napkins. Later when I asked our waitress for some, she just went to the bar and got us bar napkins. I had a beer then asked for an Irish coffee, and that was a bad Irish coffee. Barely tasted the liquor, the coffee was bad and there was no cream on top. An Irish bar that can't make a good Irish coffee. The waitresses are either friendly or they're not. We've seen many different waitresses, which could be a sign that they don't like working there. We won't be going there for lunch anymore.
I love Jack’s for the vibe and the huge drink selection. Only downside is the Michelob tastes like straight-up soap. I keep ordering it anyway, so honestly that’s on me.

Promote the barback, his name is Jackson. He is literally the only person who would take my order all night, dude made my entire experience. He is incredible please do everything to give this man what he deserves

Park in the Red garage for a short walk here. Loved the outside area. Music selection was on point and just the right volume to comfortably have a conversation. Service was top tier, as the waitress was very friendly and attentive but not intrusive.
I tried two different specialty cocktails; a dragonfruit one and a frozen espresso martini. Neither really did it for me but I appreciated the uniqueness for both. Would definitely come back.

My friend and I visited this place and everything was fine until she ordered a drink. The server told her they didn’t have it, even though she could clearly see it on the counter and pointed it out. He kept insisting it wasn’t available, she kept calmly pointing to it, and then he suddenly lost his patience and yelled at her in a very rude way loud enough that I literally jumped in my seat.
A few minutes later he came back to apologize and admitted the drink was available and that he had been wrong, but by then we were already getting ready to leave because the interaction was so unpleasant. I told him it was too late, and he gave me a dirty look.
This server clearly has an attitude problem, and needless to say, we won’t be returning to an establishment that makes customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Had a very bad experience. The person serving the table had no interest. Half they drinks on menu were not available. 1 that one of the co worker ordered did not come and after 30 minutes we were told that they are out. Tables were not the cleanest either. Even cutlery was not available. Never going back with team there.

Decent drinks selection. Wait staff amazing.
The Guinness quality needs a huge amount of improvement for an Irish pub especially compared to Irish pub competitors in Austin like Kellys and BD Rileys

One of the best bars to watch football on Rock Rose. Friendly staff. Matt is a great bartender. Go Bills!
Jack & Ginger’s is a traditional Irish style pub/bar in The Domain. Pretty centrally located, parking is easy to find and it’s very accessible. The closest garage will be the red garage. They have both outdoor and indoor options for seating which is a plus. The interior is nice, less pub-like but still gives you the feeling of being in one. They have booths and a separate more intimate seating area too, as well as classic bar tops. There are a lot of seats inside so you don’t have to worry about a lack of choices and they have a lot of TV options to catch your favorite game at. We’ve personally come a few Sundays and have always had a good time watching a game.
We often come here for trivia night on Mondays which is always a blast. They often get a very good turnout on trivia night with about 15-20 teams and it gets highly competitive. If you place top 3 you get little prizes and sometimes they have good ones like gift cards to the bar itself. Trivia typically runs about 1.5 hours and every week it’s been getting better and better. Outside of trivia they also run bingo nights and have a dart board at the back of the bar.
The servers are very friendly and they seem to recognize regulars. They have a decent amount of food options here and they’re solid too. We’ve had their jumbo pretzels, chips with queso, burger, etc. and all are pretty good for bar food. The only heads up would be their queso does have peppers in it so if you’re not into that maybe stay away. As for the beer, it’s always fresh on tap and never tastes off and the pours are pretty good as well. The waitresses are pretty attentive and check in often if you’re in their area. We’ve been here day and night and brought our dog a few times as well so we’ve seen this place in all settings. It’s definitely a friendly and fun sit down bar to enjoy with others, we’d recommend stopping by or planning to watch a game with some others, you won’t regret it.

Our waitress was great. She was very attentive. And our drinks were all great. Got some excellent green tea shots and their margarita. The food on the other hand was so disappointing. It sounded great and the fact that they had an Irish and BBQ fusion was interesting but it tasted ok but cold. We even asked our waitress to warm it up but it came back just as lukewarm as before. And it seemed expensive for cold ok food. Definitely go for the drinks tho.

Have dined here twice. First time was during an afternoon Longhorns game, the place was packed! Waitress took our drink order but then never returned. We had to place our food order ourselves at the bar, got the club sandwich - it was delicious! Probably the best club I've ever had. Went back another day for brunch, got the pub breakfast (toast, tomato, beans, sausage, bacon, potato.). This time waitress was attentive and the mimosas were strong but the food was terrible. Sausage was crazy salty! Let's try the beans - also salty! Surely the potato hash will be ok... nope salty. Finally the eggs, they're always just plain right? Salty! We won't be going back. If you're only there to watch football and drink beer, this place is probably ok.

Great selection of beer and liquor. Food was good and staff was friendly. Got quite loud one of the evening we were there (more akin to a club rather than a bar that night) but overall a good experience the few times we've been.
