Ho there for the food, not for the looks…. The building looks old and beat up, furniture is not the most comfortable, the good points are the friendly and serviceable staff and the “OMG! This is delicious” food.

We were staying at the airport Hilton and wanted to eat someplace easy to get to and good. This was half that, easy to get to but the food was flavorless, I had the chicken enchiladas and the chicken was flavorless, over cooked, dry and tough. My friend had the steak tacos and they too were flavorless and over cooked. The only thing positive was that the service was okay.

I use to come here all the time for good cheap food, I went today and the food was not good at all, it was cold and the tacos taste burnt. The margarita my friend got was not even drinkable. The service was awful, he never checked on us by himself we had to yell and wave. At the end we expected a 40 dollar bill and it came out to over 80 dollars. It’s outrageously expensive, not good quality food, and awful service.
Love this place!!! Veg dishes are awesome and so delicious!!

If you’re looking for authentic, no-frills, delicious Mexican food in Austin, Jasmine’s is the place to go. This spot is a hidden gem that delivers big flavor and warm hospitality every single time.
The food tastes homemade — like it came straight from someone’s family recipe book. The enchiladas verdes were absolutely perfect, and the rice and beans were some of the best I’ve had in town. Fresh, flavorful, and cooked with care. Even the chips and salsa hit the spot — crispy, fresh, and full of flavor.
Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the folks here care about what they’re serving and how their guests are treated. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming — the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in, whether you’re with friends, family, or flying solo.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. You get your money’s worth and then some.
Austin has a lot of Mexican food options, but Jasmine’s stands out for its heart, flavor, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend checking it out — this one’s worth coming back to again and again!
