JNL used to be great bbq but they have been permanently closed since summer 2025... see their Instagram page @jnlbarbecue. Their Google page should not be active and should label them “permanently closed”. Do not drive out of your way to come here like I did.

I loved this place and I hope they come back, if not to Buzzmill but to another location.
Pulled pork and brisket were great and if your nice you could even get a tour of the smoker. It wasn't HUGE, but when you talked to them you could tell they they really enjoyed BBQ and it was reflected in their food.

Permanently Closed. Please update your google map
Really good sandwiches and barbecue. I was also really surprised by the coleslaw. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Bummer, it closed permanently about a month ago.
It’s closed guys. Do not waste your time to drive.
One of, if not the best restaurants in town. It’s a crying shame y’all closing down permanently, it’s a crime that the owner doesn’t get to share his delicious bbq with the city. JNL will be sorely missed 🫡
Run don’t walk to JNL Barbecue at Buzz Mill off E. Riverside.
Today, I decided to treat myself with an adult beverage and lunch. Once I read about JNL, I just had to try it and they did not disappoint.
I got the Peach Glazed Pork Belly with a single order of Cole Slaw. The slaw was vinegar based and so tasty I ate it quicker than I anticipated. The pork belly did not let me down either. I am a sucker for a piece of fatty meat and I can’t say enough good things about this dish. The peach taste was perfect. It was just the right sweetness and vinegar blend to make it a perfect combination with the pork. I asked for the barbecue sauce to try and the peach and pork also worked well with the sauce. I could actually just eat the sauce with a spoon though if I wanted to. All that food was under $20!
This plate paired great with the strawberry jalapeño tequila from Buzz Mill!
Great food from a fellow Drinkin' Bro!
Very dry brisket

Talk about flavor! Al Pastor ribs are as good as they are genius. I am surprised this hasn’t caught on. Big Mexican flavor while still being true to being BBQ. Y’all need to bottle that bbq sauce!
Solid experience and the guy who manned the truck was very chill.
Personally, I think the food is kind of overpriced given the portion size (10+ dollars for 2 al pastor ribs), but it is certainly tasty.
Had BBQ from there at a party that was catered and it was amazing. 🫶
