First time and the food was 10/10. I highly recommend the pork chop! The ambiance was dark and moody, big on the date night feel which is what we were there for
The experience of being there was truly amazing!! The ambiance was fantastic but the food and service was just ok! We did get there right at 6 when it all begins there. It was just not what we expected but was a wonderful experience nonetheless. We will just go back for more a happy hour starting place.
It was good but we didn't realize it was a concert night. It's odd that they let the people outdoors come indoors to the bar because it significantly slows the service. Also the waitstaff (outside of our direct waiter, he was an angel) seemed upset/mad. The quality of everything was just way way way down due to the volume of people. Something that should have been upscale was dragged down. I'm still a big fan & always will be & will even attend the concert night if it happens again but I won't be doing a sit down meal at the cost we paid with the lowered quality on those nights.
We were greeted by a lovely server, Jenn, we believe. She was attentive, excited to talk about the menu and the wine list, and we were well taken care of. Shortly after we sat, she said she got cut because they were slow and a new server would be taking over. From the point forward, we ordered dinner, another round of drinks, and everything was extremely slow. The wagyu strip was not hot and it was overcooked but the next time the new server came to check on us, we were mostly through our meal. Not a $500 experience which is what we paid. We've been long time fans but this wasn't it for us. If someone in management would like to call and discuss, I'd be happy to. My phone is (804) 304-1178 and my name is Josh Gall.
Overall nice experience. Reminds me of a lot of New York. I think that it has a nice nostalgic feeling. Food was fine. Ambience is what you pay for
The music was too loud and not well-suited for the early diners, most of whom were 40+ years old.
Went to Justine's last night to celebrate my wife's birthday. We tried the escargot, octopus, and steak, along with the French 75 and White Fur. The atmosphere was fun and felt like a nice change of pace. While everything was good, nothing really stood out, especially considering the price point. The flavors were a bit more subtle than expected, and the drinks were solid but not memorable. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but we left feeling like something was missing and that there are other spots we'd probably choose next time.
We enjoyed our evening very much with one exception. The food was yummy, service was prompt and efficient and overall lovely. However, when it was time to pay the bill....no bill was presented to my husband who was covering the cost. Just the cc machine which was shown to him in front of our guest. It was hard to see and awkward. And, we didn't receive a receipt. Perhaps we should have ask our server.....or, perhaps my husband should have hit a button for a receipt??
This place is SO weird!!!! But in the best way possible! The whole vibe was so great, from the decor to the servers and to the food. It was all so fun! We got the pork chop & the market fish, which was snapper that day & we sat in the outside winter tent. The tent had heaters if we wanted them turned on & I could barely tell we were sitting basically outside. The decor was so interesting! Wherever you looked there was something catching your eye. Our waitress was great, I think her name was Natalie. She was very attentive and made sure we always had everything we needed. Definitely check out Justine's if you're thinking about it!!
We started with the octopus and the escargot both super good and we had the duck, which was good but. Or the favorite of the table. the Bolognese had a good spice and was very meaty. We had the fish market, which was super good. There’s like this leek sauce 10/10 and then we had two different steaks. The wagyu and steak frittats more fatty than I would prefer but cooked delightfully. The fries were so good and the sauce paired very well. Definitely going back.

Typical Justine's experience. Good service. Lots of hip people. Really expensive and loud.
Scam. They fraudulently charged my card $120. Their cancellation policy states it is a $20 no show or cancellation, when in fact they charge $120. This is a complete scam and misleading. They didn’t even reach out to me to confirm 2 days in advance. They reached out the day before, which doesn’t even allow me 2 days to cancel.
I was so excited to try this place because I had heard such great things about it. Haven't been this disappointed in a long time. My Coq au Vin was overcooked and extremely dry. Our waiter never came to check on us after we were served so I couldn't say anything. When they finally came back (just to give us the check by the way), she only asked if we wanted to go boxes and not at all about why I had barely touched the food. Music blared in the dining room and I couldn't have a decent conversation with my date, and the lighting was so poor we couldn't read the menus without phone lights. The hostess was kind and accommodating and the bartender was great, but that's where the good experience ended.
Justine's is one of my favorite restaurants. It always has such a great ambience and has one of the best french onion soups in town!
We enjoyed ourselves so much. Cozy vibe, loved the artwork, amazing attentive service and delicious eats and drinks. See you next time!
