We hadn’t gone in a while, still amazing! Perfect pork broth, excellent spicy miso, great classic, takoyaki perfect. We met the new owners, so nice and polite, we have a 6-year old and he was really sweet to him.

Best ramen in Austin. Been to all the spots, and this, hands down, puts the others to shame.

Best Ramen in Austin. But the seasoning is a bit stronger than the Ramen in other stores. Fortunately, I like it.

Had the Kanji Signature Ramen, and it was delicious! The egg in particular was one of the better eggs I've had in ramen around here, and the chashu was flavorful.

I LOVE this place! We live nearby and pop in regularly for dinner. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
Highly recommend the popcorn chicken and any of the teriyaki bento boxes.

Ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and a Kirin Ichiban. The chashu was the perfect thickness and very juicy, the ajitama was excellent, the broth was creamy and not overly salty as I’ve experienced from other Ramen establishments. Will be returning!

Best ramen I have had in my life. The broth is subtle, which accentuates the sweet flavor of the noodles. Adding a spice bomb enhances the flavor to be the full package. The meat is tender and has a deep flavor. I definitely recommend their kanji signature or tonkatsu, with spice bomb. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Easily one of my favorite ramen spots in Austin! The staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and chill, and the ramen was bursting with flavor. But the star of the show? The chef’s signature chili oil — absolutely next level. If you’re a ramen lover, this place is a must-try!”

Kanji has been a great restaurant for the last two years I have gone, multiple times a month. They changed management during that time, but quality did not change at all. New management did bring in some new items, but flavor and price has been amazing. They have some more unique ramen bowls you don't get at other places along with all the classics, and the stand out items are the small donburi bowls. Perfect serving sizes with insanely low prices, my favorite go to order! And of course, out of all the items I've tried they were all great!

To me, my favorite restaurants are the small operations run by just a few people. Both the previous and current owner work the front, giving it a very intimate feel. Of course the current owner is always kind of tends to folks as well as any good server should.

I always go during lunch and the atmosphere is always fairly low-key. Something about the half-wall on the inside makes the building feel cozy, and there is some pretty quirky wall art in the main room and even bathrooms.

I consider this my favorite ramen shop in the Austin area, to the point where I even forced my family to come with me when I first learned about them!

We must have come on an off day, all the comments talking about it being so flavorful and their favorite place sold us to drive 45 minutes to come here. Our normal ramen place was closed and I wanted to take my husband out to lunch for his birthday. I’ll start with all the great things, first, service was top notch! The man working was kind, attentive and very helpful. The yuzu whiskey sour was phenomenal, and it’s now one of my favorite drinks. The restaurant was extremely clean, I always look for dust on ceiling fans and vents, not a speck in sight. The only thing lacking was the flavor, the ramen broth hardly tasted like anything, I got a spicy bomb for mine and it was neither spicy or flavorful. If they were closer, I’d come back to give them another chance, the drink alone would be worth it, but it just isn’t worth the drive.
