I have been going to Kerby Lane for years and recommended it for dinner to some new friends. My daughter’s plate was served 15-20 minutes after everyone else’s and apparently the order was missed somehow. It was a very awkward wait. We then had a hour and half dinner and were never asked for drink refills.
Wait was way longer than expected and none of the staff really cared. The food was slow, overpriced, and not that good.
Kerbey is a family owned business that feels like private equity ruined it. Go somewhere else
We visited the cafe in the summer hoping it wouldn't be as busy when the semester is on but somehow ended up spending way more time than if school was in. Service was extremely slow and we had to place the same order a bunch of times to get what we wanted. Wasn't enjoyable.
Food was amazing! However, the waiting time was crazy long. We sat at the bar for a shorter waiting seating time, however, our food took 30-40min to come out. Our meals were seating there for an excessive long time, which made the meals cold. I really enjoyed the food and coffees, but the waiting time didn’t seemed worth it.
Inconsistent food quality - some stuff really good, other stuff -yuck.
Onion rings were over done, burger was not good. Salad great, Panini very good. Nice & attentive server.
i usually love my experience at this location but was super disappointed today :( our coffee’s came cold (with mine being spilled all down the side of the cup and all over the plate) as well as our food coming out cold. server was very sweet but not very attentive and when she was, it felt as if she was rushing us out
Good food great staff
Lovely atmosphere and great food 😊
Alex was our server. She was very friendly and attentive. She kept our drinks filled. The food was quite tasty and flavorful.
An iconic Austin eatery. Have the queso! Have the pancakes! (Just not together.)

Food and service were great.
Online waitlist was helpful
Great service from the moment we walked out the door. As the DD, my friend needed a little extra care to get food into her. Our server, I'm so sorry I didn't get your name, was very attentive and helped ensure my friend was feeding quickly and before anyone else. Thank you so much for your attention to detail. Food was pretty good and I wasn't disappointed. It was ideal for the slightly Inebriated friend who needed food fast. The icing on the cake, my friend left her phone in the booth and they kept it safe for two days until she could get back down south. Thank you so much. 🙌🏻
This is my second time coming to Kerbey Lane Cafe (this time to a different location) and I continue to be impressed. I started with a blueberry mojito, which had a gorgeous purple color and was delicious after mixing it a bit with a spoon. Then I had their classic eggs Benedict, which consisted of two halves of a toasted English muffin, each topped with a ham steak, a poached egg, and hollandaise sauce. So rich and savory, I devoured it! The eggs Benedict also come with your choice of one breakfast side. I chose the buttery biscuit, which comes with two small Smucker’s jam packs. I ate this for my “dessert”, and it was probably the most underwhelming part of the meal. The biscuit was a little dry and not as buttery as expected.
food was very cold waitress was nice but it took forever the utensils were dirty came here for the “tradition” of ut and this was all sucky .
heather was an amazing server, she was great and accommodating to my food sensitivities, the food was great! i always come back here for a classic meal :)
