Kerbey Lane Cafe - Westlake

Spent 10 minutes at the bar being ignored by the wait staff and management. The manager, however, did spend a fair bit of time insisting that the staff aggressively upsell their beverages. "Make sure to ask them if they want a Mimosa!!" was the clear directive. Went to 24 Diner instead, where I was greeted immediately and enjoyed their much better chicken and waffles. It's a real pity; I've been going to Kerbey Lane for decades since I was an undergrad at UT, but - candidly - they're not that good.

Kerbey Kane never disappoints!! Today's visit was made even better by Miranda who was absolutely incredible! She greeted our table with a smile, made great recommendations and her personality was top notch. A breath of fresh air honestly in today's very sub par server industry. Definitely coming back because of her. ?

WAY WAY above and beyond service.
We popped in for breakfast this morning. Initial service was wonderful - our waiter was great. We had the lemon poppy seed French toast and harvest omelet. Both were tasty and large portions. Great value. But upon paying, my bf dropped his card down between the wall and the booth. They helped him for no less than 20 minutes with various makeshift tools to get his card. Finally getting it out with the handle of an enormous spoon. Absolute 5 star treatment!

Our waitor was rude calling me out because he wanted more tip. America has standardized 25% tips and it is getting out of hand. Kerbey Lane needs to do something about it. Just be prepared. If he wanted a larger tip then the service has to reflect it.

Usually very good, service was, while inexperienced, very attentive and diligent. Good was really sub par tho- veggie burger was in pieces- crunchy black pieces. Fries were also very overcooked. Queso had a skin on it and the garnish was limp, like it had been sitting a whole. The basket of chips we got was all just the little bits at the bottom of the bag, very few whole chips.

The lemon poppyseed pancakes are delicious!! They have good people at Kerbey Lane. After the sweet host saw I was in a sling and had a drink with my to go order he kindly offered to help me bring it to the car. Them going out of their way to help me made my day.

Amazing in every way! Incredible food for all tastes and ages from the amazing all day breakfast which my kids adored to the healthy dinner plates for adults and elder crowd. Exceptional service and low prices too!

Jolene was amazing! I wasn’t going to leave a review at first but I couldn’t let her great service go unmentioned! She is so personable and made my experience so wonderful. She is what the Austin vibe is all about. I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Quiet atmosphere and stellar service with AMAZING pancakes.Definitely recommend asking for Jolene if you’re looking for great conversation and personalized service!
