We used to eat at the Kirby Lane Cafe when its only location was on Kirby Lane. We went there recently and it wasn’t as good as it used to be or as it is now at the one in Round Rock.
The waiter never smiled. My sandwich was dry and the service was poor. We had to flag the server when we wanted more iced tea.
He was busy clearing off another table while we were waiting to ask for our bill. When he brought our bill he did not clear our table before I paid it. If he had done so for the other table we wouldn’t have needed to wait for our bill. Additionally, looking at a freshly cleaned table is a pleasant way to end a meal.

The food was so good. I have never been here, and I'm glad we decided to try it.
The fried green tomatoes and the biscuit were my favorite, but everything was amazing! Good pricing also.

Every year we go float the river and this is one of the staple places we have to stop at. Try the fish!!!

Delicious pancakes, good coffee, lattes, sandwiches and lots more. I even purchased a cool painting totally old school Austin. This place remains old school Austin even though there isn't much left of that era.

Our waiter was great, so helpful and informative ?? The overall restaurant was pretty loud and packed, but makes sense with it being the original location. Our food was great! Got the crispy chicken eggs Benedict and breakfast tacos which was great and well flavored. Would return!

Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and vegan.

My Denver omelet was disappointing, dry and the mushrooms seemed to be canned. Also very loud, hard to hear the person across the table from you.

Parking: Handicap hard to get in, as a truck with trailer was blocking 1/2 of the drive way
