Egyptian Garden Salad
It is the classic, refreshing Egyptian salad. Baladi means local. It is a salty, vinegary bright salad that pairs well with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its beauty is in its simplicity. Cucumber, tomato, red onion, mint, parsley and pomegranate seeds, tossed in vinegar salt and cumin.

Pistachio Rice Pudding
For the most soothing dessert after BBQ, try our pistachio butter rice pudding topped with mascarpone whip and cardamom and halwa (sesame clustered). Note: Because the pistachio is deeply infused into this dessert it cannot alter for nut allergy.

Lots to love about this place. The food came out fast and hot, service was great, and sitting areas fun and comfortable (we caught them on a rare, cloudy and cool summer evening). Prices the Austin standard.

Brisket - Very nice and juicy, personally loved the peppery edges on the slab of meat we ordered. The fat was melt in your mouth and full of flavor, not chewey at all. Extremely greasey, extremely satisfying.

I wish I had more appealing pictures but we were traveling through Austin when I stopped. Been waiting forever to try this since seeing Rogan and Action B on YouTube trying it. I will tell you the sides, chicken kebab and lamb all lives up to the hype. There’s nothing out there with this flavor profile or idea of BBQ. Can’t wait to come back and try and get a full tray and a beer. K, I hope to meet you next time sir! It was a pleasure getting to try your bbq.

TL;DR:
KG BBQ isn’t just a food truck, it’s a lamb-chop-laced fever dream kissed by cumin and backyard pitmaster magic. I parked across the street and walked into a smoky Egyptian oasis. The lamb was thick, smoky, and glorious. The salad? Crisp. The dessert? A sweet pistachio-laced pyramid of joy. 8 down, 42 to go.
