Great bar and restaurant inside the Renaissance Hotel in North Austin. We came down from our room to have some drinks and apps. Our server, Gabe was very friendly and extremely attentive. He made great suggestions and was always around when we needed something. Great job, Gabe. Hope to be back soon.

Gotta give this bar a 5 stars! The staff here took care of me during my stay even remembered my name. They make a good old fashioned as well as a manhattan. The bartenders here were very attentive and above all friendly. Keep up the good work y'all

When we arrived there was some confusion at the wait stand. There was no one there to greet us, but as we walked on in and sat outside, the waitress came and asked if we had a reservation. Yes, but I mentioned we wanted to sit outside, whereas they had set up the table inside. Once we got seated, the meal came together. The waitress was very friendly and the food came out in good time. The food was excellent. We had our family of 6 there and they added a 20% gratuity for family, which I think they should not do. Clearly this was my wife and our four teenagers. They probably lost some tip by adding the extra costs. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this restaurant to others in the NW Hills area.
Convenient hotel restaurant Food was good and very hot ! I got seasonal pasta with added chicken! Overall good but they forgot my mushrooms but was too hungry to send back! Inside Renaissance hotel owned by Marriott plenty of parking

We recently celebrated our daughter's 13th birthday at Knotty Deck Kitchen and Bar, and we couldn't have picked a better place! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening truly special, creating a celebration dinner we'll never forget. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every detail felt thoughtfully taken care of. We also stayed the night at the Renaissance, which added to the magic of the night. It was a truly unforgettable experience, and we're so grateful. We'll definitely be back!
I stayed at the Renaissance hotel and had a horrible experience. The only positive aspect was our server Jennifer at the Knotty Deck. She was an absolute pleasure and a true gem of a staff. She’s by far the most hospitable server I’ve met in Austin. Great job Jennifer!!!

Service is was VERY slow today. Seems to be getting progressively slow each time we stay there. We left after 20min and no waiter showed up (even after our asking twice) - for breakfast. Food is usually great!
Had a great meal during happy hour. Best chicken wings I've had in a long time! Really loved our waiter, Gabe, too.
The service was excellent, the food and drinks were delicious! The quinoa and watermelon salad was very refreshing, just as the waitress said it would be. My husband even liked the Brussels sprouts, (86 the lardon to be vegetarian) which he usually doesn’t care for.

I came during a conference, but the outdoor space was LOVELY, though hot, and the mahi tacos were great! The inside is not as pretty but still nice. I would do the patio if you could.
We met some family and friends here and ordered appetizers. Service was nice and everyone was very attentive. There was also live music and that made the experience even better.

I chose this location for dinner based on the location, menu and ratings. Made a reservation. It was a poor experience immediately upon arrival. Someone seated me but he told me he worked in another area of the hotel. I suspect he saw me waiting and jumped in. He didn't give a menu. It took a long time to get a menu, then to order a soft drink and receive it. I chose not to order alcohol because I already saw the inefficiency of the operations age was thirsty. And then a long wait to order food. There were a few large parties- an onsite conference had just ended. A credit card is required to place an order. I spoke with a manager. They had 2 servers working. I eventually got food- the Mac and cheese and brisket was very good. The food came out quickly- the manager was babysitting my order. The server was polite. But the overall experienced ruined my appetite. I'll chalk it up to a staffing issue- but they know when conferences end and if the attendees have vacated their rooms or plan to stay overnight. Disappointed by the experience. I suspect it deserves the positive ratings when appropriately staffed.
We came to welcome a new team member and had a great experience! The restaurant is within walking distance from the Arboretum offices, which was super convenient. We ordered a variety of dishes to share—everything was tasty, but the new potato croquettes were absolutely delicious 👌. Service was excellent—friendly, fast, and attentive. Would definitely come back!
Knotty Deck & Bar is a hidden gem in North Austin! The food is flavorful (highly recommend the Knotty tacos), the cocktails are creative, and the patio is a great place to relax. Friendly service and a welcoming vibe make it a go-to spot whether you're staying at the hotel or just stopping by.
