Waited 53 minutes for a sandwich! I’m not sure what all they do but when I went and asked got my order they told me they hadn’t started it yet finally after 40 min they started in my order. The food itself was ok nothing special or outstanding.
One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Austin but my experience has been inconsistent on taste. The second one had a lot more mortadella which threw off the balance of flavors to me compared to my first visit which was near perfect. The meats on this are very high quality from Olympia provisions. Home slice is still the traditional winner, but if you want a fun take or something different these guys understand sandwiches and it’s surely one of Austin’s best!
Beautifully done — for my taste there was a bit too much mint and dill on the Sandwhich. I couldn’t taste any of the other elements of the Sandwhich. Once I removed the mint and dill the Sandwhich stood up a bit more but simply wasn’t to my pallets liking. I also had the pickled vegetables, I sorta expect a mix of vegetables rather than only beets and cauliflower.
