Agedashi tofu is traditionally made (soft) and amazing. If you’ve never tried tofu, I recommend this for your first time. Lightly fried in a small amount of broth. Amazing different textures that you will crave for later.
My only concern is the sushi chefs touch all over the receipts, don’t wash hands or apply a barrier, and then make the sashimi and rolls. Most receipts are made from low quality plastic and covered in BPA which has been shown to cause infertility and other negative conditions.

Austinite interior for sure but most authentic Izakaya Japanese bar. It is more characterized as a restaurant but the sushi bar is where the experience is at. So, everyone knows izakaya is meant for sharing as it is bar food, great friend hangout

This is my first time here and it was wonderful from the second we sat down. The service was incredible! It was so, so fast and our server was a delight. His name is Jason Montes and he was kind, engaged, and his vibes were wonderful. I can’t wait to come back and request him as a waiter!

Disappointing. Not sure why this place is so highly reviewed. Fish quality was just so-so. Cuts were pretty skimpy, rice was average. The server was friendly but there were a few missteps in the actual service. Chairs were uncomfortable. Atmosphere was “inexpensive restaurant that tries to seem better.” Price was much higher than the quality. You could get a similar quality roll from some better supermarket chains (no, that is not a compliment). I will say, it was very fast in terms of delivering the sushi. Plates came out very quickly, unfortunately, speed seems to have been prioritized over quality. Definitely will not return.
