I always have an amazing experience here. From the food, to the service, the laid back neighborhood vibe. Oh and the bathrooms are an experience of their own...trust me, you will want to check them out while you are there too!

Stupidly long line for a completely empty restaurant. They say the ordering space is small, well how about seating people and taking their order from their table? Have you not seen how other restaurants operate?

The last straw is when the server was taking orders outside and just completely skipped over me and my girl. Had a way faster, kinder, and better experience at Terry Black's.

The sausage and turkey were on the drier side but the flavors were there. The brisket was good too. The ribs and shells and cheese saved us...yall need those shells and cheese!

They only help one person/group at a time so be prepared. I personally love the individual service but I know others wont.

Although the meat was very good, the sides failed to hold up any sort of self-respect. The sides were so awful in fact that I had to write this review. The meat is the only reason to come to this restaurant, and until Y’all actually step up to the plate and put some more effort into your sides. I probably will not be returning.

They say this is the best Texas BBQ in Austin and I see why. Michelin one star.

I've never been La Barbecue so the Wednesday Lunch Bunch decided we give it a try, especially since it had just received a Michelin star. We arrived a few minutes after 11 to find a long line of customers waiting to get in. After about an hour, we finally reached the order desk and placed our orders. I ordered a brisket and sausage sandwich and a couple of ribs. The sandwich included so many extra toppings that it was impossible to eat without a knife and a fork. The ribs were overcooked and so soft there was no chew. The meat fell off the bone as I picked it up. The sausage casing was very tough and they didn't even slice it before putting it on the sandwich. I guess I need a better understanding of how Michelin rates restaurants because we all agreed that La Barbecue rated about a six out of 10.

Brisket is great. Shells and cheese were good as well. Didn't like the potato salad. This is the first BBQ joint that I've been to that charges for bread and doesn't have sweet tea. It's definitely not worth the wait if the line is around the corner. They aren't as busy as it seems. They only let one person /family in at a time to order, which makes the line long. One and done for me.
