They seemed to be out of several items on small brunch menu, and couldn't accommodate some changes to meals (like eggs whites instead of the full egg) which was strange. The biggest bummer was that the mimosa bottle was $46, and when it came out it was a screw top bottle of J Roget, which is typically sold for $8 in stores. I understand an upcharge of double the price on alcohol is typical, but 6x the price for a bottom shelf brand that was pretty nasty was just a disappointment. Otherwise, the food was really delicious.

Food was more of an experience rather than tatse test. Everything working part of this place is what makes the food come alive!

La Condesa is my favorite spot in downtown Austin for happy hour + margaritas! We always order the quesadilla w/ short rib and queso w/ short rib, and finish w/ the churros or tres leches cake.

My original reservation was canceled by the restaurant about a week out because they accepted a buyout for the evening. They also apparently got my rescheduled reservation time wrong - just got notification that the table was ready, asking if we were on the way...an hour and a half early. Not worth it.

One of the best mexican restarants I‘ve been to in Austin. More on the pricy side, but I have recommendations here:1. If you like Queso, get it. Don‘t think twice and add the short ribs. period.2. The Esqites (sweet corn) is amazing and can change life’s.3. The quesadilla with the short rib inside is to die for.In generell all the meat you order at this place is amazing. But when I went with my vegetarian friend she loved it too for all the veggie options that they have.Wheelchair accessibility: Its on the first floor to go to the restaurant, but for the bar and the bathroom you have to go up some stairs!

Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend! Service was good. Great ambiance between the space, the decor, and the music. I was recommended this place by a coworker. We had drinks, queso flameado appetizer, the mole chicken, and the shredded pork.

Sabrina was sooooooo knowledgable about the food and made the La Condesa experience a beauty!

Fantastic Mexican (not really Tex-Mex) restaurant in the heart of downtown Austin. The queso flameado was the best we've ever had. Their handmade corn tortillas are very unique and delicious. The chicken mole was also top-notch. Lots of great appetizers. Excellent cocktail menu. I also had a Mezcal flight, which was great.

Overpriced and condescending. Having a server tell me "this is not what you think Mexican food is" is ridiculous. Food is fine but not worth what they are charging for unspectacular versions of everyday Mexican food. Dry, overcooked chicken in their mole poblano and tortillas that are blue but not properly cooked. Amazing how a place in Texas this expensive can't get Mexican food right.

The brunch short rib torta was extremely good. I could have lived without the queso or the guac, but the torta was phenomenal.

The queso flameado with short rib topping was amazing as was the tuna tartare. Both were “snacks” at brunch. We were disappointed in the huevos rancheros as they were greasy and strangely served in a bowl so that I couldn't taste the eggs, and covered inches deep in a sauce. The stoneware bowl mine was served in had two obvious chips, which kind of shocked me at such an upscale location. Very attentive service. My daughter enjoyed her carnitas dish and I do say the warm corn tortillas were spot on.

Food was top notch despite being a little pricey , I would go back! 130 without tip for 2 people. when they drop your food mich care is given to explain it to you which was pretty meat.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They helped us get our toddler settled, entertained and most importantly fed. The space is really nice and bright. The drinks and food were delicious all around. I would definitely recommend!

Hostess accepted our reservation even though we showed up late. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. However the food was a such a let down after reading all the great reviews. 5-7 Happy hour drinks were half off ; that was the only highlight for us. Nothing creative about the menu just overpriced small portions. Mediocre at best.
