Great value for the portion size. The namesake carnitas were my favorite thing I ordered. Very moist and flavorful. Plenty of seating available. We had the pina con limon and damn it was tasty and fresh!!

Despite being located in an unsavory part of town that I don't exactly feel the safest in, I've got to admit that I find myself craving the carnitas tacos from here often enough to be worth mentioning. Add some of that smoky red sauce or creamy green sauce, and you'll feel plenty satisfied after 3 servings. I'm also a big fan of their agua locas, which combines alcohol with cucumber, pineapple, and lemon juice! Very refreshing while giving you a happy buzz. I don't recommend ordering any other meat, though, because their el pastor tacos and chicken quesadillas are just average. Docking a star from what would have been a glowing 4-star review, since they're just not consistent. The quality and flavor of their carnitas varies depending on what time you visit and who's working in the kitchen. When it's good, it's really good. But when they're having an off night, it's a waste of a drive.

Fantastic breakfast at an amazing price, particularly for Austin. Rather than coming from a premade jug, our Agua Fresca was freshly made in a blender. The carnitas themselves were delicious, with three fantastic salsas to choose from. The tortillas were beautifully pliable and the marinated raw onions on the sides were a welcome addition.

Wow, this was a bomb lunch! I wanted tacos and Yelp came to the rescue. These are quite the filling tacos. They will bring it out on a tray with cilantro, onions (fresh and grilled), limes, jalapeños and you can add all the salsa you want. The quesadilla is so thick, cheesy and tasty and will make you drool the whole time. You truly do get a lot of food for your money here.

The service was great! Quesadilla with meat was yummy. I LOVED the fresh made Pina Pepino Limon drink made in a blender, by our server, after we ordered it. This was not in an industrial, sit all day, machine. I usually sip my drinks and rarely get refills. I could not get enough of this one. It was served in a ginormous cup.

I walked in on a Tuesday morning about a month ago. walked in and quickly walked out. The cashier was in a bad bad mood. She rolled her eyes when I walked in, as I was walking around - checking out the place - I glanced back at her since she was following me, and she rolled her eyes again. I guess she was wanting me to sit down and stop walking around but I have never been in this place and wanted to see how big the restaurant was. I placed the menu on the counter by the register and walked out. The cook is a witness to this. Y'all have no idea how much money y'all lost out on cuz of this employee. Her being a sourpuss lost y'all thousands. I was wanting to inquire about booking the entire restaurant for a huge event in 2024. Instead I happily booked with a mom and pop taco shop near the soccer stadium. The restaurant was really hot inside, maybe the ac was broken but it was really unpleasant for the 30 seconds I was in there.

The food is pretty good here but I wish there was a little more variety. I have eaten here twice and both times it was consistent, and I will probably go again. The carnitas are good. I'd love a side option or two to go with the entree options; I gave them a 3 instead of a 4 for this reason.
Best carnitas in the Austin area hands down. Cool atmosphere inside the restaurant drinks and good music. Great customer service.

Wasn't bad. Wasn't good.... Would I go back ? NO. Had a carnitas order (personal) and a posole. Posole was bland on flavor and wasn't hot. I know it's hot as hek outside but I still want my soup to be Hot. Cilantro/Onions - Not fresh .. very dry/old. Lemons - have seen better days.. Service - it was ok. Ambiance - ok.

Amazing all around. Very traditional cooking with traditional ingredients and spices. Service was amazing. Very fun restaurant ambience. Plenty of parking will definitely be back as a neighborhood staple

Really loved this place but after seeing this in my food I think that's a wrap for me. I didn't realize all the avocados were rotten and after eating my 3 tacos an hr later I threw up the food. This awful and dangerous! Def not buying food from here again...Def look at your food before eating it!

Juicy and tender and the salsa is spicy. Tortillas are great, the agua frescas are bomb. Im from California and it's been so hard to find a good taco spot, this place is IT for sure! If you're thinking of eating here 100% do
