It's under new ownership hopefully they do better.
Food is good but they're online prices aren't right and I got overcharged. Brought to their attention and was explained what happened but nothing else other than that. Update your online menu instead of overcharging customers
Great al pastor. Even humored my brings, no tortilla request, lol
Paltry amounts of beans and rice, neither of which were seasoned. Meat in the main item was dry and looked like it had sat around for a few hours. Definitely not going back!
My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant.... so good I had my birthday there
I’ve stopped in a few times now and love the food here. Lots of great authentic dishes on the menu from lengua, to mole and menudo. The chicken sopes are my go to dish. Highly recommend grabbing a few.Their red hot sauce is super flavorful and if they bottled it and sold it I would buy it and put it on everything!
Been meaning to check this place out for awhile, stopped by last night to grab some food togo and had an amazing experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the order came out fast and the food was delicious. We got the flautas, posole, and asada tacos. All were great. They put a lot of Pico de gallo on the tacos so be sure so say something if you don't like that.
Staff is super friendly, food is killer! ❤️ (Pictured: Three chicken enchiladas, rice and beans)
Spectacular real mexican food with homemade tortillas. I finally found a place that truly takes their tacos seriously. My new home for dinner and drinks.
My family and I have been here a couple times since it opened, and the food is actually very good. I was disappointed to see, however, that some of the staff were a little too busy trying flirt for tips rather than protecting themselves and others from the virus. Both of these women can be seen behind the bar, touching bottles, the ice machine, and glasses while not wearing their masks. Needless to say I will not be coming back here. I love supporting small businesses, but not when they choose to ignore precautions such as these.

We have gone to the other location on Braker multiple times and we love it. Today was our first time trying this new location. The barbacoa tacos are the best tacos I’ve had in Austin. I’m currently pregnant and I was afraid due to my hormones and changes in palate I wasn’t going to be happy with the tacos but it was not the case, my baby and I were extremely impressed of how delicious the tacos tasted. Again if you are looking for some bomb barbacoa tacos this is the place! The corn tortillas are homemade and the barbacoa seasoning is just perfect. Needless this meal made my day. My family from out of town always want to go to the Braker location when they are in town but since it’s so small we would always struggle a bit to get everyone seated. Next time they are in town I will for sure be bringing them here. Side note... wasn’t too crazy about the queso. But the rest, best ever. I’m very happy to see y’all are growing and expanding. I love supporting small business, and this place is definitely a 5 star experience, with great customer service and even more amazing delicious food.P.S From the last review, I can inform you all that everyone was wearing their masks and no flirting was going on. I hope that one instance doesn’t taint your impression of this place. Because it is definitely not the case. I will be coming more often for sure.
I was honestly skeptical of this place, and I am so glad my opinion got changed. One of the few remaining places with fair pricing, outstanding service and great tasty food. Growing tired of paying 30 dollars for a meal everywhere you go, in here you'll eat your fill for 15 and it is amazing food. I highly recommend La Montaña to everyone, you won't regret giving it a chance.
Really good food specially the trompo or pastor meat. I order the plate and it was delicious also server was really nice and was really attentive to what we need on our table. I will definitely go back for this awesome trompo parrillada.
We're just really blessed to have good authentic food in this area of Austin. The staff is super nice and very chatty as well. It's nice to go and have a beer and talk up other people at the bar or the bar keep himself while you're waiting on your to-go order to be made.
Love this place! Everything is amazing. The menudo is the best I've ever had. I can't wait to try the goat!!!
