First time visit. Food was bland and the service was horrible. Lunch specials are almost always less than regular lunch items. However, they both cost the same. Not impressed and will not return.

We've enjoying take-out from local restaurants to get us through the constraints of no-dining-out, and Las Palomas is a favorite. Their combo fajitas are exceptional -- juicy tender steak and succulent chicken. The mole chicken enchiladas are my husband's go-to meal. Everything is ready promptly based on the pickup time you request when you order and comes to you piping hot. I appreciate how helpful their staff was when I called in with a question. The hand made chips were amazing! The corn in a cup was the best I've had in quite some time. Customer service was top notch as we were always greeted by a smiling face.

The food is DELICIOUS!! and you get nice portion sizes for everything. My favorites are the Eloté with Crema and Tajin and a side of beans 😋😋 My husband loves the Super Bowl with asada. everything is so good. You will NOT be disappointed!! They are the nicest family too and have the most wonderful customer service. The picture is an asada Taco, cup of Eloté, super bowl with asada.

Always a go to place for local westlake residents. The waitress was off the rails. Asked for a straw 3 times, asked for 2nd basket of chips and salsa never arrived until meal was over and busser brought. Asked for a beer arrived after dinner. Asked for a dinner fork never arrived. Thrilled you are busy but common! We were with regular customers and truly they were shocked!

Two for Tuesday Fajitas were very good and reasonably priced. Service was very good as well. Calvin took very good care of us.

People are always yelling and screaming and walking around at all hours of the night. Went by around 7AM and there was a full on shouting match happening. Not sure what's going on at this place. Is it a halfway house for mental patients?

This place has been a staple in the area forever. Some recent improvements but the food is the same. The staff has a bit more turn over lately but again most are doing wonderful. We bring family and friends here when people are visiting us from out of town. This is more interior Mexican food than Tex Mex food. Don't let the shopping center location turn you away. The drinks, the food and the service are great. I hope it stays for decades to come. I do know many of the local shops are experience issues with the new shopping center owners. Please don't kick them all out!

Visiting kids and grandkids in Austin, and they wanted to show off one of their favorite places. There was, of course, a disclaimer, "This is not traditional Tex-Mex." Okay! What was it? Their website says the restaurant offers "distinctive cuisine from multiple regions of interior Mexico." Of course, one has no idea what that means unless one has visited "multiple regions of interior Mexico." So, you understand I am not big on restaurants claiming to offer cuisine most of us have never tasted as authentic. With that said, I pay attention to how the end result appeals to me. In this case, I was a bit disappointed in my order. To be fair, I did not order a traditional or regional entree. Instead, I ordered an entree salad. The protein was chicken seasoned in something other than Tex-Mex seasonings. The seasonings were subtle; the chicken was overcooked. Everyone else ordered meals they seemed to enjoy, and I would imagine most regular clients are regular for a reason. That means, I will give it another try when I am back down that way, but right now, the rating above is more of a reflection of my kids' feelings slightly discounted. It is a busy place, so reservations might be in order if they accept them.

We stopped in for lunch on a recent Friday. have dined here many times, as this place has been here for 30+ years, which tells you something. Full bar, outdoor patio, lots of parking, as it is located in the corner of a strip mall. The food is good, albeit slightly pricey. The lunch special was $12 , and included a soup or salad and an entree (such as tacos, enchiladas. etc) plus rice & beans. Service was pleasant. Live music some evenings.

Definitely try the ceviche, and the salmon & beet salad. They have excellent lunch specials with tortilla soup and various enchiladas. The place is always busy and the food is consistent.

A friend and I ate lunch at Las Palomas on a Wednesday. The restaurant was not crowded and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was attentive but not all that friendly. We ordered beef fajitas and chicken fajitas. Both were tasty. The rice was bland. The fried beans were tasty. There was lots of indoor and outside dining. The restaurant was cute and appeared to be clean.
