Having great food at our wedding was a high priority for us, and we are so glad that we partnered with La Pera to do just that! At our initial tasting, their food immediately stood out as vibrant, fresh, inventive, and delicious. And on wedding day, they delivered the same quality to our guests who have continued to rave about the food since. Wouldn't hesitate to work with them again in the future!

I recommended La Para for my friends’ wedding, and they absolutely delivered. I’ve been in the events industry for over 14 years and have worked with many caterers—Beth and her team are truly wonderful to work with. They jump at the chance to create incredibly personalized menus for each occasion and care just as deeply about presentation and aesthetics as they do about the food itself (which is delicious). They put a flower on just about everything, and as a florist, this brings me immense joy. Highly recommend!

La Pera was amazing! They catered my birthday party. The food was delicious and set up decor was beautiful. They were flexible and able to do a lot with a small space. The chicken lettuce cups were incredible! Highly recommend!

We had a wedding with La Pera, and have nothing but great things to say about them! The whole team (Especially Liz!) were extremely professional, warm, and accommodating. We had an amazing tasting with them, which let us narrow down our menu easily and everything came out fantastic! Post wedding, we've been consistently hearing from everyone we run into that the food is the best they've had at a wedding (the Oaxacan mac and cheese has gotten at least 3 shoutouts)! We couldn't have asked for more, and would recommend La Pera to anyone!

I picked La Pera for our catering for our my wedding on November 7th at Lucky Arrow Retreat for a brunch reception. From the start, they made the planning process enjoyable and the menu selection that they helped us decide on was amazing. We got so many compliments on our food which included butternut chilaquiles and Mexican elote and cotija hash and so many more delicious options. Everyone we worked with was so kind and accommodating. My only complaint is that I was so full of nerves I didn't get to eat as much as I wanted to. If you are looking for a unique caterer in the Austin area, La Pera is the one to choose.

We had our wedding on 10/25 and La Pera was an absolutely incredible addition to our day! Not only did their food presentation of our passed apps and family style dinner perfectly pair with our design, but their service was impeccable, attentive, and so incredibly kind. Our guests kept saying how delicious everything was and that there was plenty to go around. We had La Pera signed for over a year and they were great at staying in touch leading up to the day. Highly recommend them for your special day. 💖

Liz and her team were absolutely fabulous to work with for our wedding!!! We could not be happier with how our food turned out. Everything was enjoyable, from the initial tasting to the day of family style dinner and late night snack! These ladies have it down to a science and they listened to any revisions I had for the quote before payment and the nitpicking I had with creating an authentic Chicago-style hotdog for our guests! Multiple people came up to me and said “this is the BEST wedding food I have ever had!” I cannot recommend them enough! Do yourself a favor and hire La Pera!

We just had our wedding on 9/6 and our experience with La Pera from booking to the day of was incredible! We met them at our venue open house and instantly fell in love with their presentation and quality of food. Our complimentary tasting exceeded our expectations! I recommend their pie and ice cream bar! I wish I could have gotten it but it was beyond our budget . They work with other linen companies in town to help your vision come together. All our guests raved about the food, which in my opinion is the most important part.

The level of detail from every member of the team made our event very special. We had a very small group, and still had access to the entire array of services. Every bite was delicious, every drink was balanced, the planning calls were creative and intentional, the coordination felt seamless. They helped make our day very memorable!

My Fiancée and I were stocked when we saw the upscale Latin menu with La Pera! I am a chef and I’m half Mexican so this was everything I had hoped for when envisioning what to serve at my wedding! After having a consultation it was clear that they were interested in our 200 person wedding with a late night snack & desserts. The team said they would get us our quote within 2 days which turned into 2 weeks… our wedding coordinator reached out multiple times with no response & she even called our venue to get them to respond. (Our venue has a required catering list) Unfortunately the team at La Pera would not get back to us so we are no longer going to waste anymore time trying to get a response. Do not go with this company as they will ghost you and leave you twiddling your thumbs.

Update 06.02.2026:
My wedding coordinator sent an email after I posted the initial Google review, as they wanted to imply that, despite calling, emailing, and leaving numerous messages, they had neglected to get back to us. On the consultation, they even confirmed MY personal email address, saying they would send the contract/ quote to me as well, which they failed to do. If La Pera had apologized for the severe lack of communication due to it being their peak season, we would’ve been totally understanding. I am in the hospitality field, so I have lots of patience, but this was absolutely an example of poor communication through the caterer. Plus, this isn’t the first review that has been written about being ghosted after a consultation.

Email from my wedding coordinator:

I want to clarify a few key points. We had to call your company in order to receive a response for the initial consultation. During that call, we provided the correct email address for the client as well as myself, which was to be used to send the proposal. I also received multiple confirmation emails for our consultation directly to my correct email address, which clearly indicates that accurate contact information was on file.

After that call, I followed up multiple times via both email and phone, leaving several messages—none of which were returned. Even if some emails had bounced, your team had my correct email address, direct phone number, and multiple memos I left with your customer service team to reference. The absence of any response was frustrating and disappointing, especially for my clients, who had been excited after what felt like a very positive and productive consultation.

Regarding the review, that was my client’s decision and a direct response to the lack of communication which I think is warranted. As noted, they were genuinely disappointed by the silence after what they believed was a promising start.

This situation is not as simple as stating in a public response that “incorrect contact information was entered by the planner.” That comment doesn’t fully reflect the sequence of events or the communication that did occur. We made repeated efforts to follow up, and the lack of response contributed significantly to the client’s experience.

I've been in the special events industry for over 30 years, and have worked with literally hundreds, perhaps 1,000, caterers in that time. La Pera Catering is one of maybe 2 or 3 that offer the level of craft and service that I saw on display last night. They effectively built a restaurant kitchen on-site, and prepared an excellent assortment of food for about 180 guests. Even the vendor meals were 5-star restaurant quality. I'll refer them to my clients from now on, and look forward to my next opportunity to experience their food.

I've been to a good number of weddings and I'm proud to say, our food was the best. Not only did it look the best, it tasted the best. We had a Mexican-themed wedding and the food was on point. Our friends were super impressed by the quality and taste of the appetizers and main dishes and had amazing things to say about La Pera. They also went above and beyond in terms of providing zero-waste or compostable serveware; sustainability was an important feature of our wedding. The best way to get in touch with them is via scheduling a phone call; communication was spotty in the beginning but once we got accustomed to only communicating via scheduling phone calls on their online portal, it went smoother from there. Overall, aesthetics and taste were phenomenal.
