Booked for a company dinner. It was surprisingly quiet on a Wednesday evening which personally made it better for our group. Everyone really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

The food was so good and the atmosphere was great. Definitely recommend for sure, thank you for having us for my daughter's birthday.

Drinks were so good, our server Pedro was amazing and very kind, he let us know a bit of the restaurant and its origin which was interesting. Overall I had a great experience.

My experience at La Popular was exceptional, and a significant part of that was due to our server, Pedro. From the moment we were seated, he established a genuine connection that immediately elevated the entire dining experience. He introduced himself with confidence, engaged in natural conversation, and created an atmosphere that felt both welcoming and professional. It did not feel transactional; it felt intentional.

Pedro demonstrated a high level of attentiveness without being intrusive. He anticipated needs before we had to ask, ensured drinks were refreshed promptly, and kept the flow of the table moving seamlessly. The service was efficient and well-paced — food arrived quickly without feeling rushed, and every course was delivered with precision and care.

The quality of the food itself was outstanding. Each dish was presented well, fresh, and full of flavor. It was clear that both the kitchen and the front-of-house team operate with high standards. It's our first time at this restaurant. First thing we noticed it was very loud and freezing inside. We checked in and there seem to be a confusion where our table number was located. When we're seated we were not to sure if we wanted to stay because it was FREEZING! The air conditioning was blowing over us. My husband asked if they could turn up the temperature. It took a bit to warm up. The volume of the music was quite loud. We had a hard time to understanding our server Our margaritas were very good. Now this is the first Mexican restaurant that does not serve complementary chips and salsa. So we ordered chips that came with 4 different salsas. The red salsa was tasty but other salsas were too spicy for us. Paying $7.00 is not worth it. We ordered Baja shrimp tacos and ribeye tacos. All was tasty and everything came quickly. Not sure if we will come back because the food maybe too spicy, it was very loud and the wood floors were very slippery.

Pedro was great, amazing service and great personality as well. Will definitely be back. Food was really good as well

I made a reservation for a valentines date with my girlfriend 2 weeks prior. Had to wait and got sat at a bar table next to the door where workers come in and out of. I understand it's a “busy” day but when I made a reservation weeks prior and saw only Americans getting seated before us with no wait/reserve, it was kinda ridiculous (my gf is Asian and I am Mexican, I really hope race was not the issue but it definitely felt like it). I asked to get seated at a table multiple times and others were sat after instead. The manager finally came and tried to accommodate but we were already upset so I just paid the drinks we got and ate somewhere else. Also the waitress was not at fault and understanding about the situation. It was pretty disappointing.
