I'm updating my review! I still love Laundrette. Their HH (5-6pm) deal is indeed very good (But the snacks are NOT $5, they're $5 off, which is a big difference...ha) Cocktails are half off = amazing! Food/drinks that are still winners:
Cocktails:
- Midnight arrival - a great balance of flavors
- Tavellers palm - the perfect amount of sweet and fruity
- Lost bird - has mezcal and is super strong, still delicious.
- Fox photo - light and delightful
Snacks:
- Pimento cheese - probs the best I've ever eaten!
- Hummus - creamy and unique with nutty and tasty crackers.
- The burrata was also wonderful. The pesto adds a fantastic flavor and bite.
Food:
- Sheet lasagna - wow that is amazing and also vegetarian! It reminds me of Flammkuchen, which is basically like a thin sheet of pastry trying to be a pizza and this one has a couple layers. It is light and delicious and also a hefty amount of food.
- We had a green bean dish that was really delicious.
- Birthday cake sandwich is very yum!!!
The schwarma cauliflower was also good, but it didn't wow me.
It felt like each dish was carefully crafted to make sure that there was enough of everything in one bite. I also really appreciated that they had entire portion of the menu dedicated to vegetables.
One thing that I noticed which I would suggest fixing if possible.. the AC blows right on you when you're sitting at the tables on the wall of the left side of the entry to the restaurant. Whenever it came on I had to put my big jacket on so I didn't freeze.
There are a few tables outside which is nice.

Had a fantastic lunch here. The service was amazing, super informative and friendly. All the food we ate was fantastic especially ths deviled eggs and marmalade brussel sprouts. A great stop for lunch when walking around lady bird lake. We didn't reserve and walked in, but apparently it gets super busy on weekends.

Interesting little brunch spot on east austin. Not the most extensive menu but overall the food was good.

We came here for Sunday brunch and liked the light filled space and atmosphere. The food took over 35 minutes to arrive which felt slow. Between the two of us, we shared the asparagus Benedict (the flavour was great but the portion was very small and it only came with two tiny slices of asparagus), chicken sammie (chicken was a bit dry but still tasty) with a side of the frites (these didn’t feel fresh) and the blueberry pancakes (decent but not the best we’ve had).

While visiting my daughter in Austin, we always love to try new restaurants, and this one didn't miss the mark. We had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious - every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The great atmosphere was perfect & comfortable. We tried many items on the happy hour menu. hope to come back soon.

The pork bowl was tasty. Pancakes were also very good. Service was attentive. Nice clean bathrooms.
The coffee is very bitter though, please consider changing it. The cream dispenser is cute.

Have been there for dinner and it was ok. Now we tried brunch and it was absolutely unacceptable. First this woman / man (idk) that they have at the front sitting people are super rude. The food was pretty mediocre and did not deliver. We all left pretty disappointed
