Such delicious food, and we had a pleasant experience. Went here with a couple of friends for an aesthetic brunch experience, and it’s one of the best places to take some cute brunch pics! The food is so fresh and tasty. Server (I think her name is Kiera/Kara) was extremely sweet and personable, loved her so much!
Excellent food! Crispy chicken sandwich and fried shrimp are bussin. Lorenzo provided amazing service and made the visit perfect.
Launderette nails it every time—especially at brunch. Always consistent, with amazing coffee and to die for pancakes. It’s the kind of spot you can count on for a great meal and good vibes. A true Austin gem.
It was a letdown from start to finish.
The food was mediocre at best. Nothing stood out and nothing felt thoughtfully prepared. Appetizers arrived before our drinks which were unbalanced, uninspired, and completely forgettable.
Service was where things really went downhill. Upon arrival, the hostess just stared at us blankly until we told her we had reservations — no greeting, no welcome. Our server didn’t fare much better, offering the personality and attentiveness of a wet sponge. After the food arrived, we didn’t see her again until we had to flag her down because we found a hair in our food.
The overall experience was so underwhelming, we ended up leaving and getting dinner at Bufalina, which I highly recommend. They actually understand what hospitality and good food look like.
Launderette, your reputation suggests better but this visit left me disappointed and unlikely to return.
Nice place, good food. Decent coffee. Only not so great thing was the service, these guys looked like they were sooooo bored…
But it’s fine. I’d recommend and visit again for sure
Best crudo in town!
Disappointing food! Really surprised and had to eat elsewhere afterwards. Two dessert were full of salt.
Went here for brunch and the food was great. We got the pork hash, the chicken Sammie, zucchini bread, pancakes, pull apart bun, and frites. The service was as expected, nothing spectacular but he was patient and friendly. The space is small and we were in close quarters with other guests which I didn’t like too much because it feels like we are right on top of each other. We all had a hard time getting out without feeling like we were bothering the other people. Overall is a cute vibe and the good is decent price so I recommend trying it!
Nice place to eat
Giving 2 stars because of the service, the server was rude, and it kinda dampened my first time experience here.
I went for happy hour and ordered happy hour items - the burrata and 2 burgers (and fries, which weren't happy hour and were $9).
The actual burrata was really small and the bread that came with it was giagantic, I would have preferred it to be cut because it made the app messy. That said, the flavors were good.
With the burgers, the waiter didn't ask how we wanted them cooked and I didn't think that was a flag because this is a relatively nice place, they should know how to serve a burger that isn't dry. I was wrong. Both burgers came back well done and were super dry.
The waiter never checked on us to see how the food came out. She came by once to refill the water, and that was really all we saw of her after that. Before getting the check, she grabbed the water to refill it again and then decided not to when we opted out of ordering dessert.
From then on, she got more rude, made annoyed faces at us and kinda solidified that we won't be coming back.
For such a nice place, it was disappointing to see how openly bad the service was and how dry the burgers were. Would not recommend this place.

Restaurantji Recommends
Let me explain that first I have been here before and the service was quite good and so was the food. So I recommended it has a night out. Have a food allergy. Last time this was accommodated with no effort whatsoever. Amazing. This time things have greatly changed. I was told that the chef wanted to maintain the quality of the dish and wasn't willing to take a sauce off in order to make sure that I wouldn't die from my allergy. Then he complied and the waitress brought me just fish with no signs. When I complained that this had to come asides I was told that that was the discussion I was given. A plain piece of 4 ounces of fish for $32. I had asked for management and they brought me some sautéed vegetables. Because of the disgruntled Waitress we were not attended to the rest of the evening. We were ignored and had terrible service. This is not someplace that I recommend if they are this inconsistent with quality of food quality of culinary prowess and quality of care for people. They went from someplace I recommend to someplace that I fully intend to deter people to go.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place. Everything was so good.
First off, there’s plenty of parking in front and to the side of the restaurant (although the side parking may be for the liquor store next door). The spots are wide and could accommodate the huge SUV we rented.
Our waitress, Selin, was superb. She was attentive and remembered our entire order, without needing to write anything down!
We were a party of 4 with 3 dogs. We made a reservation for the patio because we had our dogs with us. We were seated at a corner table on the patio, which gave our dogs more space to roam while leashed and tethered to us.
It was pretty hot and humid outside (we came here on November 7, 2024 at 1PM). There were lots of flies and mosquitos around. Thankfully, halfway through the meal, the waitress put out a mini fan on our table to keep the insects away from our food.
For appetizers, we got:
Striped Bass Crudo - the fish was fresh and flavor was great. A bit too tart for my liking, but still very good. My partner said this was the best, but he usually really likes very sour and tart foods.
Burrata - very delicious. Had the right amount of sweetness from the glaze and great textural contrast with the nuts.
Deviled Eggs - my favorite appetizer! The truffles really put this dish up there. Usually I find truffles gimmicky, but they worked really well here.
Potato Chips (with cheese) - my least favorite appetizer. The chips were good but the dip tasted too much like cottage cheese for my liking.
Fried Shrimp - this was SO GOOD! The shrimp were huge and cooked well. Not too much breading either. The accompanying sauce was good too.
For our mains, we got:
Fried Chicken Sammie - this was really good. The chicken was very crispy and moist and tender on the inside. The slaw on it wasn’t overpowering. And the accompanying sauce was good.
Steak Sammie - I did not get to try this, but my friend said it was ok.
Farro Bowl - This was the best dish we got. The salmon was perfectly cooked: flaky with a crispy skin. The faro was also a good textural and flavor contrast.
Plancha Burger (protein style, buns on side) - At first, this looked mid (you can see in my photos). But, when I dug into the patty, the meat had such a good texture to it. And the flavor was amazing! I could tell that it wasn’t just a regular old frozen patty from the grocery store. The pickles and onions were also subtly tart and sweet, which I really liked.
Our friend originally booked a brunch reservation here so she could try the birthday cake dessert, but the waitress said that’s only served during dinner. We didn’t blame her because they close up at 2PM for brunch, and it was already 2:15PM by the time we finished our entrees and asked about dessert. However, our waitress was so amazing!! She asked the chef and they said they could prepare the dessert for us because it was my partner’s birthday. So, she brought it out with lit candles and added it to our bill (she gave us a new one because she already printed out our bill).
The price was fair for what you’re getting. Things ranged from $12-$22.
Overall, the food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. I highly recommend coming here when you’re in Austin!
Parking: There are 10 or so spots in front and maybe 8 spots on the side (though the ones on the side may be for the liquor store next door).

Tri-tip Sami is a winner! Great on toasted baguette although I would've preferred a little more horseradish since it was quite faint. The olive forward tapenade was magnificent.
BEWARE their recommended "blistered" green bean dish unless you like the inside of your mouth blistered on the first bite .
Also, for my taste, the green beans are barely cooked (I understand that many feel this is a more optimal health choice, however since we are not cows and don't have four stomachs, it's more optimal to have vegetables cooked, but only just until they are slightly limp).
... and there was at least a tablespoon of highly spicy chili Seed topping. So if having your mouth on fire with the first bite is your thing, this is your dish!?
