Lavaca Street Bar is a classic downtown Austin sports bar—tons of TVs, lively crowd, and an easy spot to meet up with friends. I went in for a game and it delivered: quick service at the bar, solid beer selection, and a fun, energetic vibe without feeling too pretentious. It can get packed fast during big games, but if you grab a spot early it’s a great place to hang out and watch sports.

I gotta review a place when I’m pleasantly surprised by the food. I got the blackened chicken tenders and they were fire. Highly recommended. I think it’s cool when a spot allows you to get your chicken fried, blackened, or grilled. Maybe not healthy necessarily but at least healthier than fried as an option. And it wasn’t dry at all.
Tons of TVs for watching any and all sport games.
And overall good service. They walked by and checked on us twice.

Did eat. Just drank. Service getting beer was friendly and fast. Nice location with plenty of seating and t.v.s for games. Food can be bought from a window inside the bar.

Solid place for game day viewing. Have a big group with folks who care about multiple games? You can come here and still enjoy! Especially on the back patio… Suggestion: bring back some of the old menu items on the food truck! That’s gone down hill over the last 4 years.

First time here to eat , ordered a ribeye po-boy it was cooked perfect , my friend ordered the tacos they were large portions of food .looking for a place with great food /atmosphere come try this place out , can’t miss
Great place to watch football. Reasonable priced. Food is great. Service is excellent. Now if they would only put the RAIDERS on the big screen place would be perfect

BEWARE: **TIP PADDING** An employee at this bar falsified my tip and I was charged an extra $20. I only caught because of my credit card statement. Luckily, when I went spoke to their management they refunded it, but that is what happens at this bar. Unbelievable.

Been here dozens of time at least. Female bartender trips out easily and refused to serve our party. Didn't waste my time arguing with someone who appeared to be regretting life choices? No worries, plenty of options in the area. Usually would reccomend this spot but I guess it depends on the bartender and her mood for the evening.

Being relatively knew to Austin, I cannot recommend Lavaca downtown enough. The bar staff are nothing but friendly and welcoming. Its a great atmosphere and the bar staff are top notch. If you are ever in the area, Lavaca is not one to be missed. Do yourself a favor and get here quickly!
