I frequently bring out of towners to Licha's, and it always delivers. It's exactly what someone visiting Austin wants when they say they want “good Mexican food,” it's convenient, a great value, and as casual or classy as you want it to be.

Soooo good! The table had a green and a red sauce (both quite spicy) and every table was presented with a bag of chips for dipping. I had the chicken mole. The sauce was delicious, and the chicken thigh was moist. It was served with squash and a side of rice. Just the right amount of spice for an overall delicious dish. My friend ordered the fish tacos (a new item on the menu) and she said they were delicious. We sat in the side area outside and it was pleasant, as they had misters to cool things off. There are additional tables inside, as well as a bar area. There is also a large, covered patio on the back with a good number of tables. Great vibe. Excellent Service. Delicious Food.

We had a nice lunch at Licha's. Salads and tacos were very good. The atmosphere was colorful and festive. The pitcher of margaritas was a good deal and a great way to kick off a Saturday afternoon in Austin. No complaints!

Family event so outside area was perfect for larger group. Good and friendly service. Had the red fish and it was excellent.

Had the mole dinner which was ok/checken was alittle dry. Friends had taco dishes...which were excellent.

I dine here pretty often, but we always manage to be seated either outside or at the front of the restaurant indoors, which has a nice ambiance. This last time we got seated in the back of the restaurant which is not quite as ambient. There are things that can be done to make it better, like putting up an attractive partition of some sort to separate the dishwashing station from the dining area would be a good start. It's pretty loud because the restaurant has its own music playing pretty loudly to compete with the bar's DJ music pounding next door. I like this place, just not the back part of it. Food is good though, and the rest of the restaurant is fun.

Maybe we shouldn’t have picked the quesadillas (they weren’t that good) but another person in our party got the al pastor tacos and really enjoyed them. Beyond that, service and ambiance were great, such a cool vibe

Quite possibly some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Let me start with the chips and salsa: the green sauce has a creamy consistency to it but is actually spicy. The red sauce is less spicy but similar consistency with a strong smoky flavor to it. It was so good, I used it with my mains as well and devoured all the sauce. Now let me get to the conchita pibil I got. The corn tortillas were super soft and warm, and served to you inside aluminum wrap to keep it warm. It comes with guacamole and pickled onions that appear house made - nothing out of a jar or can here. The stewed pork was fantastic and extremely flavorful and tender. All the individual ingredients in this dish are thoughtfully curated and made in house. By far the best Mexican I’ve had so far in Austin and highly recommend it. Shout-out to Juan, the bartender also!

I don’t understand the great reviews. Horrible food, bad service and loud music. Not even the Diet Coke was good. It had no gas, complete disappointment. Will not return.
