I love Licha's and somehow had not been since 2019. Was very happy to see they are very much still on their game. Such great vibes last night.

My son and I had a great dinner here. Ordered the cerviche and octopus starters followed by the red snapper entree to share. All the dishes were well prepared and delicious. A few margaritas and plenty of chips and we were both happy campers.

Excellent food. Try the mole verde enchiladas. Yuuuummm. The music outside was very loud, but our table was right by a speaker.

The food and salsa were delicious! The menu is more traditional Mexican food than tex mex so you miss out on some options but I had a great time and will absolutely eat here again. A bit pricy but nothing out of the ordinary for Austin.

The service is awful the waitress just came once in a while the kitchen staff is better. It’s pricy , the place is small old house ,the AC doesn’t cold the place because door are open all the time , without reservation the make you wait a lot no matter there are a bunch at tables Empty no parking available . The food is good .

Ok. I love love Lichas Cantina.
However- they changed their menu!
I do foodie tours and the absolute hands down best thing was the tuetano on a tostada. The bonemarrow was the star! Brought a recent tour there and got a tuaetano esquate- corn.
While it was presented nicely not a single person ate the 5 orders I made! Please bring back the taco with tuetano on it! The corn overshadowed the star of the dish!

Stopped in for a quick bite and drink. The food was great but the staff really made this place. We were in town visiting and the bartenders chatted with us forever, gave us a bunch of recommendations and were so friendly. Great place for a night-cap!

Sad to say, the food was so over salted, I couldn’t finish my dish and drinks were weak. Too bad, the atmosphere is great.

I used to love this place! Maybe it was a bad night. Server messed up our order several times. Noticed he kept hitting a margarita in between visits. Felt very turn and burn. The food was mediocre and one tasted rotten and we just skipped it after the second attempt at getting the appetizer correct. Margarita was sloppy and salt had gotten dumped in. Not planning to return anytime soon. There are too many other amazing places to eat at than to choose to go here.

Went there this Saturday night, had to wait about 40 minutes to get seated, but it was worth it the mole verde enchiladas were amazing, strong drinks, good music and our server the cowboy I believe his name was Andre he was very kind and attentive, everything was goods except there is no A/

It's been a minute since since I have been to lichas since it is usually such an indulgent meal. Do not sleep on the new bone marrow appetizer...just do it!! The HUACHINANGO TIKIN XIC was as incredible as I remember. Lichas is still hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Austin!!

Lovely spot and one of my favorites in Austin, I take all my visiting guests. the margaritas here are one of the best in the state of Texas and the atmosphere on a lovely day can not be beat in Austin.
The quesadillas are heavenly don’t look past them, and we love the skillet style tacos. Don’t sleep on the guacamole and Queso Fundido to start your meal. The Mole is also excellent.
Octopus and the ceviche were enjoyed by the table

The meat was tough the queso flameado wasn’t melted at all it just came off in chunks. Wouldn’t recommend this place. I guess my payback for this review was becoming nauseous/throwing up all the food when I returned home ?
