Wow! I just happened to stumble upon this place, and man! It is delicious. I’m not even typically a fan of banh mi, but this is the best one ive ever eaten. And affordable! I dont even close to here, but i’ll be coming back for sure.
I have been going here since I was around 8 years old. I’m 25 now. For an Asian store, authentic mind you, I love it. I don’t carry cash on me all the time though. I love that they do Venmo now! It’s so easy :)

The sandwiches were horrible. Vietnamese sandwiches are supposed to have butter. However, the sandwiches I ordered from this place not only didn’t have butter but the xíu mại (meet balls) were so rough and dry. The worst Vietnamese sandwiches I’ve ever had. The store was stinky when we first walked in as well. Too bad I the negative stars were not an option. Otherwise, I think their deserved a negative star.

Cute spot! Authentic homemade Vietnamese food - got bahn mi and a rice cake to-go dish, and it was all very fresh. Nice service too. Would recommend!

This place is so good 🥲 we ordered the Lily's special banh mi. I'm definitely returning to try other dishes from their menu. Be prepared by having cash or venmo!

Lilly’s Sandwich Shop is a hidden gem for delicious and affordable banh mi sandwiches. The bread is perfectly crisp, the fillings are flavorful, and the pickled veggies bring everything together. Definitely one of the better spots in town for a quick, satisfying bite.
The shop is small and convenient—perfect for a grab-and-go lunch—but just a heads-up: they don’t accept credit cards, so be sure to bring cash

I'm sorry, but Lily's has the best banh mi in Austin. Here I'm given liver pate in my sandwich automatically, thank you. I'm not going to mess around with any other place.

The best bahn mi bread that I could find in Austin! Crisp, crusty on the outside and moist, soft on the inside! The iconic Vietnamese bahn mi meal should be finished with crumbs all around your dining area (but try not to! Eat at a public park so you can feed the birdies, too!)
Outstanding Vietnamese cuisine as well! Comfort food and street food takeout you'd usuallt find in homeland Vietnam. Not the same same but probably the closest you'll find in this city!

Got chicken bahn mi. Nothing was fresh, I wouldn't recommend.
We just found out that the owners of Lily's sandwiches are going to retire and sell. I have been taking my kids here since they have been born. My boys are 8,10 and 12. Me and my twin brothers started coming here about 15 years ago. I lost my twin a year ago. We have made so many memories here. I'm going to miss it. I love you guys and thank you for the great food and service!!!

Some of the best banh mi I’ve had in Austin! Really affordable. I picked up some homemade kimchi also for $10.

Small place for click stop. We order the plate 24, surprised after knowing that was the ingredient to create your own spring roll. They only take cash, no credit cards.
