I drove up to Austin for the weekend and some friends from there recommended this place and it didn't disappoint everything was great..they had a live band and everything..now me being from Robstown tx(Corpus Christi) I'm a little spoiled with homemade flour tortillas at every Mexican restaurant and that's the only reason I gave it 4-stars on food.. great experience and would definitely go back

We enjoyed our visit here at Little Mexico. The food was delicious! That salsa was fire (delicious). Great atmosphere, with excellent customer service through our visit. Service was provided with smiles. We also enjoyed the music with dancing. We look forward to visiting in the future.

The food was great. We ordered a combo fajita plate for one. Steak was very tender. Chicken was good. Queso was descent. Salsa was really good. Had lots of heat. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The manager was really nice. Will for sure be going back after our next river float.

Little Mexico is that classic Mexican place you think of when you think of your home town (if your hometown isn't Austin, of course). It's like they turned a cute little house in to a restaurant. There was plenty of seating for our breakfast and the server was very friendly.

We got the Huevos Rancheros and Machacado con Huevo. For the low points... I'm a fan of crispy potatoes at Mexican places. Unfortunately, the potatoes were a little undercooked so a bit crunchy. The ranchero sauce had good flavor but was a tad watery for my taste.

Now the high points... Some places have beans that you can drink, but I really like the thicker/chunkier beans here. We also both the red and green salsas which had a good kick. But the true star was the machacado con huevo. The meat to egg to veggie ratio was spot-on. It really made for a great taco when thrown on a tortilla.

I look forward to coming back and trying some of their recommended lunch/dinner plates.

Parking: There are plenty of parking spots behind the building.

Good service, decent food. We got there for lunch on a long weekend and it wasn’t crowded at all. Will keep going back there.
