Came in today just wanting some good food!!! It was a lil busy to be expected it’s lunch well I did not enjoy my meal I ordered the Roasted Chicken Luann with cabbage and yams everything was cold I actually asked that the cabbage be warmed up I almost said just put my entire plate in there but I ate until I couldn’t because of lack of flavor and the temperature of my entire meal. The least to say the manager offered to deduct an item I had after complaining that they had a weird chemical flavor which were the deviled eggs super Gross!!!! Also desperately needs revamping I can smell the carpet and tables and chairs are filthy.Manager did listen when I explained.Very nice of him overall I did not enjoy my meal but didn’t leave upset thanks to the manager taking time to hear my concerns respectfully! I worked here about 18yrs ago it has definitely changed and not for the good.

Absolutely loved our visit to Luby’s Cafeteria on 1410 East Anderson Lane in Austin! The moment we walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The cafeteria-style setup lets you see all the fresh options, which is perfect if you’re like me and want to choose as you go.

The food was just like a home-cooked meal, with each dish made with care. I tried the
Grilled pork chops with mashed potatoes and green beans, and my wife tried the fried cat- fish and green beans it was delicious—cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The portions were generous, and the prices are really reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity.

One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness of the place; everything was tidy, and you could tell the team takes pride in keeping it that way. Plus, they have a variety of desserts, and the pecan pie was to die for. This location is a true gem for anyone looking for a wholesome meal and warm atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back! A big thanks to the manager.
