Hadn't been to Lubys in years. Probably well over 10 years honestly. Food was mediocre tasting but decent side item portions. Might give it one more chance. And also, there is a gentleman named Johnny who was the nicest employee there. So friendly and just an overall good person. I would go just to see his nice smile. Get more friendly faces like his in that place.
Best cafeteria in Austin! Always look foward to "my" cherry pie treat and there were none this time. Was disappointed, but decided to try the strawberry cheesecake ...now am happy again! And more diverse, too..ha
This is a good place to eat, I go every week but the way it’s changed... I’ve been coming here for 9 years I think and they didn’t need to get rid of the build your own salad option. They’ve been bankrupt twice in the past three years and It’s not that I don’t like Lubys but what they’ve done to it is not needed
