A tasty little gem inside Hana World Market. Super tasty and flavorful. We ordered kick-butt fried rice and noodles, they were both yum! The fried rice was close to Indian pulao, so Indians will for sure love it! The home-made chilli oil was was also a star! Portion sizes are good too! I wish there were some vegetarian options for tacos though.

Great food! We tried the sloppy noodles and kick butt fried rice both with tofu, and one chickpea blazin taco. All were delicious! The tofu was really tasty, thinly sliced and marinated in an Asian sauce with a really close consistency to meat. Our order came with 2 vegetable egg rolls and a tasty spicy sourcream sauce! This place is Fresh, flavorful and delicious! It's in the Hana World Market food court. We met the owner and she is a really nice lady! A must try!

These guys used to be a food truck and serve absolutely delicious food. Their location here is unfortunately not as visible and the store really does nothing to market them. But they are a great place to come for lunch. Really incredible fried rice and egg rolls. Awesome amazing taco options. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

I had a little trouble finding it but it's located inside of the food court in Hana World Market. I was raised on Lao food and I have to say the Kow Poon is spot on. It's delicious and you should definitely order some if you go. They offer spice level 1-10. I ordered level 6 spicyness and it was still really mild to me but I was sharing with my 4 year old daughter who took a drink of water after every bite. The Tham Muk Houng (Lao papaya salad) is also pretty authentic and delicious, it's traditionally a spicy dish made with plenty of thai peppers, I ordered spicy level 10 and it's satisfyingly spicy. For $8.50 menu price the portion of the Papaya Salad is a bit small but I did get a Groupon deal. I also tried the Laab Gai taco which I was skeptical of and it wasn't really a hit with me. The Laab Gai itself was alright but the flour tortilla it came in was straight out of a bag not even warmed or heated in any way, and since it's served without any sort of sauce it's a bit on the dry side especially with the flour tortilla. I used the Sriracha mayo sauce that came with the eggrolls on the taco. The pork eggrolls were awesome and fried to order, but I'm not a fan of the mayo/Sriracha dipping sauce they come with and would much prefer a fish-sauce based dipping sauce. I was a bit bummed not to see any Asian/Lao people working, maybe because it was a Sunday. Another review mentions everything is cooked by "mama Noy" herself so I was hoping to spot her. Also the only napkins they had available were the ones that came prepackaged with plasticware so I had to open three things of plasticware just to have napkins to get through my meal. Overall the traditional Lao food is delicious and I will be back for more.

Probably one of the better Laos food I have had in Austin. Great service food level spice is on point . I ordered the papaya salad and it reminded me of Thailand so spicy and delicious. The chicken larb was also on point with that lovely citrus spicy. If you want a real fried rice where it taste like it was cooked from a street market this is the one, also order it extra spicy!.

What I love about Mama Noy's is that you can really just taste how fresh everything is. I had the spring rolls which were great and really healthy I felt like I got my vegetables for the day in that one dish. The sloppy noodles were also delicious and so were the tacos, especially the veggie tacos which I normally would not order but these were so amazing I would eat these every day if I could.

I opted for the beef skewers. They came with a pickled papaya salad that I fell in love with. The beef skewers are grilled to order and have a pleasant crunchy edge to the soft meat. It is drizzled with a peanut sauce. Very good. The papaya salad is cold, crunchy, and slightly spicy. It's a nice contrast to the beef. I look forward to trying more from Mama Noy's

I'm so glad this food truck became a resturaunt too!!! My whole family enjoyed the food (including the picky eater). The suave for the egg rolls is key! I could almost drink that stuff!

We tried this place yesterday and quite liked it! We got the kowpoon and larb gai salad, and while they were both slightly different preparations of how I've grown up having them, they were both very tasty. I loved that they used both snake beans and Thai eggplants in their dishes which you don't find too often in restaurants in the US, but they're very much used in traditional Lao cooking. We were also offered free samples of their pork eggrolls which were quite tasty too! They were rolled in wonton wrappers instead of rice paper, but that might just be a Vietnamese thing. The service was also solid. Everyone was busy in the kitchen when we walked up, but once we were noticed, someone came straight up to greet us and take our order. She was very pleasant and friendly, and made sure to ask us what our heat preference was for each dish. Our food took about 5 minutes to start rolling out, and she brought it as it was coming out of the kitchen. When she brought the kowpoon, she asked if we wanted more veggies for it which I really liked. Some people prefer more or less veggies in this dish. Rather than wasting a lot of veggies upfront, they put a little on first and ask if you want more brought out. I would definitely come back here to try more of their stuff when I'm back in this part of town! Their fusion dishes sounded really intriguing.

The food here is amazing. Mama Noy makes it herself. She's incredibly sweet and giving. Strives hard to please her customers. Def recommend.
