This is quickly become one of my favorite places to dine in Austin. It is a first rate restaurant serving a wide variety of Mexican dishes expertly prepared with consistently fresh and high quality ingredients. The shrimp fajitas are superb. The service has been excellent. Wait staff is very attentive and welcoming.
We visited Manuel's on Jolleyville Road in Austin 2 times in the last 3 months. The first time the outdoor temp was in the mid 80's, so we decided to chance it and sit outside on their garden patio. We were very comfortable under the massive oak trees that shade the garden. The decorative wall that surrounds half of the garden shielded us from Jolleyville road noise. I can't remember what we ordered but I do remember the food was very good and Joshua was our wonderful...

Their recipes are unique, flavorful, and the quality is top notch. I especially love the chilled seafood cocktail appetizers like ceviche and campechana. The apps are all generous and portioned for two. The cactus salad and Lomo de Puerco pork tenderloin with Avocado sesame seed salsa are standouts, and so are the mushroom quesadillas. It really depends on your mood as there are so many delicious choices.
