Good food. Doesn’t have sweet tea. This is Texas so have sweet tea.
It was too loud to visit.
Great place to start your day!
Amazing food had the tacos pastor my favorite!
Cheese enchiladas are on point
This morning I ordered a breakfast taco from Maudie’s lake Austin blvd. I had a few minutes to spare before my meeting so I ate on site on the patio. The manager with the long black hair and flair dark jeans and trucker hat made a point to come tell me the “Togo dining rules”. I was the first customer at the restaurant and she came to say that to me right after she shoo’d the homeless person that was on site. It felt so rude and condescending. My family has had multiple weddings catered by Maudie’s, we have been regulars of the south Lamar location since I was a little girl. It felt rude, pointed, and intentional. She had a bee in her bonnet! It’s a breakfast taco? It will take 2 minutes to eat… sometimes saying nothing speaks volumes.
I wanted to take my time and explain how good the service was... Alberto (our waiter), as we found our table walked up introduced himself, asked for our order, left, and came back with chips and salsa. As he returned to the table, he also stated that the location overmade some queso and he left the queso with no sweat. The lemonade was super great, and Again, Alberto noticed that my glass was empty and proceeded to bring another glass out. After we ate a little and were enjoying the atmosphere, he again brought out napkins and water to the table and noticed my lemonade was close to empty so he left and returned with more lemonade. As we were finishing up, he brought out to-go containers and a to-go lemonade.
The whole time Alberto made our visit seem special. This is how you should be made to feel if you work hard for your money, and want a morning brunch, or if you eat out in a bad economy you just wouldn't miss the money. The service was incredibly great! I like to be treated when I'm eating out or just having a drink out. Consider Maudies for your future brunch, lunch, or dinner.
Chris was excellent! Good food, service, and friendly staff.
To go and drink orders from the same window is the worst idea and they have horrible customer service at the window.
Everything's great! Just wish they made their tortillas in house.

One of my go-to favorites tried and true, been here for ages to comfort us. My waiter, David, over there, you gotta ask for him.
Stopped by for the first time drinks after HEB shopping during Happy Hour (3-6) and the drinks were not great. I ordered a Gil version and it was flavorless. Ingredients were not fresh and was bland from start to finish.
I appreciate the service and staff but it was lackluster to spend $10 on a 10z drink.
Still the same after all these years!
Great place for Tex-Mex. Lots of gluten free options.
Always a great experience.
