Food is mediocre, we waited for 35 minutes for an order of a dinner plate + 2 kids meals.

The chips and salsa are a treat. I had enchiladas with chili con carne. They were incredible. Everyone enjoyed their food.

had dinner at Maudie’s Milagro and it was a delightful Tex-Mex treat. The enchiladas verdes with roasted tomatillo sauce were bright and flavorful, and the Carne Guisada plate was hearty and comforting. Their chips & salsa were fresh and addictive — nice crisp on the chips, bold flavor in the salsa.

The place has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere — casual décor, warm lighting, and plenty of local charm. The servers were attentive and happy to chat about their recommendations. All in all, it’s a go-to for solid comfort food with genuine Texas flavor.

No Attention to Details!

Overall bad experience, so I’m done with this Maudie’s. Taking my business to Fresa’s across the highway from here on out where the margs, food, service and sunsets are better.

Strike one! Waitress asks my guest if ready to order. My guest says “I’m not ready.” Waitress turns and leaves our table instead of turning to me and asking me if I’m ready to order. My guest did not reply “We’re not ready.” My guest said “I’m not ready.” Big difference!

Strike two! I ordered the chile relleno with pulled chicken. Menu clearly states PULLED CHICKEN. No option mentioned about chicken fajita. But what do I get inside the relleno? Chicken fajita! Waitress asks my guest and me how is our food. My guest is ok. But I give my reply by asking about the chicken and the waitress says it is supposed to be pulled chicken but that I can opt for chicken fajita if I want. Well… I didn’t want chicken fajita nor was I asked or informed by the waitress about substituting the default menu protein from pulled chicken to chicken fajita. Waitress offered to send it back but I was hungry and not in the mood to wait for them to redo my order.

Strike three! The waitress assisting our waitress sat my plate down in front of me with the stem of the chile relleno facing me, which is the part you cannot eat. That’s improper to serve like that. The stem should be placed opposite of the guest. I’m Latino and the waitresses both Latina. You would think they understand this little detail about serving the chile relleno plate to the guest.

The only saving grace to keep this review from being worse was God presenting a beautiful sunset photo opportunity. I tipped the waitress 20% by the way but it’s the last time I’ll eat there.
