Great food, but I have lost track of the number of times that I have returned home from picking up my to go order to find that I’m missing things from my order or received the wrong items. The last time this happened I mentioned to the manager that this happens a lot. He offered a free order of queso to make up for it.

It just happened again today and after returning home with my cold food that I made two trips for, I think I have decided to stop going to this location. I have been a big fan of Maudie’s for years, but no amount of queso can make up for a problem that happens over and over again.

I love this location **SO** much !!

1. Everyone there is so incredibly nice.
2. The food is amazing.
3. The atmosphere is awesome.
4. Plenty of parking.
5. Adrian, the Mgr. is sooooo NICE !!
6, Did I say there is “plenty” of parking ?

There NO words to adequately describe to you how much I LOVE this restaurant !!

I like to get their **veggie burrito** no cheese, for a vegan option.

1 more TIP: If you’re looking for the mildest sauce they have (or the least spiciest), ask for their tomatado sauce. THAT sauce is their yummiest mildest sauce……….your welcome !!

Stopped by Maudie’s North Lamar for brunch and I was totally impressed. The Migas taco with organic eggs, tomato, onions, serranos, and tortilla strips was a flavor bomb, and the Marfa Stack (stacked red-chile cheese enchiladas with eggs on top) was comfort food done right. I also enjoyed starting with their Appetizer Trio — queso, guacamole, and spicy bean dip — which was perfect for sharing.

What really made the visit stand out was how warm and down-to-earth the staff were. They guided me through so many menu options without making me feel rushed, and the laid-back Tex-Mex diner vibe made it easy to relax and savor the meal. I’ll definitely be back to try their enchiladas and desserts next time!

Been trying this place a lot lately, giving them chance after chance. I give up. They don’t know how to make carne guisada. I think they just try to soften leftover fajita meat. Corn tortillas are shelf stable, machine made, and seem microwaved. Other things I’ve tried are a miss as well. I suspect rent and property taxes are forcing them to cut corners in bad ways.

But the final straw was the chicken chile relleno. They just don’t know what one is. I think they stuffed a warm raw poblano pepper with chicken bits, poured sour cream over it, and called it a day. An hour later I got pretty violent food poisoning, and I have a normally iron stomach. I know they’ll try and respond, but I’m completely averse to ever going back and am literally sick and tired of them trying to pass off their food as anything worth their prices.

Went for the first time and ordered the Enchiladas Perfecto with rice and charro beans. They were the best i have eaten since Dart Bowl closed. Will definitely be back again.

Highly recommend the appetizer trio - fresh guacamole 🥑- delicious! We had the Enchiladas Perfecto and the Beef Lovers. Both were perfect! Service was great 😊

I love this place. The food is great but lately the Customer Service has not been great.. they charge you like two or three dollars for it to go order. OK don’t get mad and get a attitude because I choose not to tip. It wasn’t brought out to my car. There was no service interaction. You put my food on a table for me to pick it up so I don’t feel I needed to tip but the backlash that I got from not tipping is crazy.
