This place is so cool! I'm a huge Johnny Cash fan so it was awesome to see all the Cash memorabilia. Shelby is such a great bartender, she went out of her way to chat with my husband and I, and tell us about the history of the bar. I will definitely make another visit on my next visit to Austin!
Here at 7pm Tuesday nights for run club; love hanging out afterwards with friends and a Lonestar. Staff is friendly and fast

I just wanted to take a moment to give kudos to Brad on my recent visit to the Mean Eyed Cat. I came here quite a bit in my 20’s and was back visiting Austin when I decided to revisit some old haunts.
Brad was so kind, welcoming, funny, and all around just easy conversation that made it feel like home. I know Austin is changing, but the old Austin is still there if you know where to look, and I found it at Brad’s bartop.
