The Strawberry matcha latte, cold brew slushy, banana pudding matcha latte, and cereal milk latte were sooo good. The line was long but went by fast. Pricing for these drinks were on the higher end since we subbed regular milk for alternative options. Would come back again!
I ordered an iced chai tea latte 😊
Great pastries
AWSOME
I ordered an iced americano with vanilla and watched them dump sweetener in my coffee without any form of measurement. it was so sweet that it was undrinkable.
Meh just a big ol’ bummer. My favorite coffee shop in my home town carried Merit coffee before they closed three years ago, I was excited to experience it again in Austin. That was until I arrived. The only thing I wanted was a cup of the signature drip coffee. The (I assume) shift lead at the time told me they were out and he made the decision to not brew any more for the day, and wasn’t interested in making more. I thought this was odd since they were packed and it was three hours before close. So I pivoted to their new Subzero frozen cold brew, where he proceeded to beat the machine for the last remnants of the batch to barely fill the cup. Disappointing experience, for a coffeeshop with so much hype, train your people better.
It was over a 100 degrees the other day and I was craving an iced Americano. I have been drinking hot and iced Americanos for years and know a good one from a not-so-good one. I was in the Triangle and decided to give Merit's a try. The coffee was so disappointing. It was weak and bitter, kind of sour actually. I drank a few sips and threw it away. I should have asked the barista to remake it or gotten something else but didn't have time so I doubt I'll ever go back.
Great coffee in a great part of town. The only down side is that the baristas are typically a little too busy to acknowledge customers in line right away and you can usually guarantee that you won't find seating inside. But if you need great coffee to go and you're not in a hurry, then this is the place for you.

Seating is just a bit limited, but the espresso is great and the pastries are excellent. I recommend it.

I really like the pour overs here. The staff will do the pour over on the counter and you will have the opportunity to watch them doing it. The process of making coffee is a very important part of enjoying pour over.
They also have a lot of bean options here. I bought a limited edition back then and the quality is great.
The seating here is also nice. It is perfect to bring your laptop to study or work here for a while. They also have several tables outside. When weather is nice, sitting outside and chill out with a cup of coffee is definitely a must-do in Austin.

Good atmosphere and great coffee
Coffee is decent, some of the drinks are extremely sweet and it's a bit expensive for what it is. But it's a great place.
great coffee at merit! love the people who work here and also love the vibe and aesthetic of the space! plenty of seating inside and out which is appreciated
