This place is great. I'm not sure why it's not packed but lucky for us it's not. The shrimp tacos app is fabulous as well as the drinks, guacamole and everything else we've had there. Love the ambience - elevated.

We had an amazing Anniversary dinner at Mexta. The overall ambiance was fantastic. The decor really transported us to Mexico. From the moment we walked in the service was impeccable. Our waitress (I forgot her name, lovely young girl with a full arm sleeve tattoo) was polite and helpful. She had great recommendations. This was our first visit to Austin and we wanted great places to try the food. Mexta did not disappoint! The guacamole and ceviche were very fresh. The filet with black mole sauce was one of the best steaks I've had. Can't recommend enough.
