We went on Valentines Day so the menu was curated for that day. This was my second time going. The food was amazing and so was the service. Mole sauce isn't usually my go to but the sauce here is perfect on the steak. The chocolaty taste was subtle which I liked. The steak and salmon were both perfectly cooked. The churros were absolutely fresh and perfectly cooked as well. I'll definitely go back again.
Mexta was a mix of experiences for us. Starting with the positive, the molé topped sirloin was excellent as was the guacamole and the accompanying sauces. The churros were scrumptious, with a crispy outside and soft warm center. The disappointment came by what was NOT there. We asked for shrimp ceviche, brussell sprouts and coffee to have with our churros, but the restaurant did not have them despite the first two being mentioned in the online menu. The Esquites were rather bland...
With all the dishes there was just a lot of stuff going on ingredients wise. Too much honestly, it didn't really work. The staff were very attentive. I would say the ambience and music in the place was just not for us.
