Everything is delicious, the service is fast, and the location is excellent. A great addition and value to the city.

We have been going regularly to mezzeme for the last 5 years. We pretty much order the same items on the menu everytime. Yesterday I ordered chick me out plate and while eating I noticed red meat mixed along with pickled onions and cabbage on my plate. We called the manager at the counter to show it to him. Instead of just telling us the truth, he gaslight us for 10 mins telling that’s how the pickled onions and made and that I should have clearly mentioned that I don’t eat red meat while I placed the order. When we showed him my husbands plate which didn’t have any red meat mixed, he then got quiet. Terrible experience. Excellent food but the manager made us feel like idiots. Please train your manager. It’s ok to make mistakes but atleast own up to them.
I’m often surprised I haven’t reviewed this wonderful restaurant sooner given how many times I’ve been there.
There’s few truly Turkish restaurants in Austin, and fewer that truly taste like a meal from home. This place is both.
I grew up eating a lot of Turkish cuisine by cultural similarity, and I’m happy to say that it’s very delicious. The service and atmosphere are cozy, the tea is refreshing, and the plates are filling and look beautifully crafted.
For a unique Turkish meal, try the iskender. Not many like it. Meaty, buttery, tomatoey and yoghurty. Same for the lamb beyti.
The Governor’s plate is what I get after a long week, and it’s a mix of different Turkish grilled meats and cuts, including döner, on a plate with rice and salad.
I also love their kunefe for dessert.
Definitely among the best in Austin!

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING!! The food here is utterly delicious! My husband and I went here after searching for a Turkish restaurant online. Google recommended this place and I’m so glad they did! We ordered table full and everything was perfect! From the bread, to the lentil soup, to the shepherds salad, to the Adana kebab, to the hummus…
Just AWESOME! I will definitely be revisiting this place when I’m back in Austin.❤️

One of the best Turkish restaurants in the Austin area! Their Iskender kebab is an absolute must-try. They offer a wide selection of delicious desserts and serve authentic Doğh (Ayran). Our host, Mehmet, was incredibly welcoming—truly one of the best hosts I've ever had.

WoW! I haven't had Turkish food that good since Turkey.
1 app and 1 main stuffed both of us, with 2nd round we took home. I get the feeling anything w/ LAMB ROCKS.

There are so many options on the menu. The menu also includes what dishes have gluten or dairy so great place if you have food allergies. The service was great and they were accommodating to any changes I wanted to make to the dish. We got an appetizer (mezze platter) and I ordered the spicy lamb and subbed the rice for a salad.

Highly recommend the Mezze platter (my favorite hummus!) with bread. Also love the coffee and desserts like the milky baklava and pistachio cheesecake. Very friendly staff, thank you MezzeMe!
I visited this restaurant with a friend today and we clearly told the cashier three times that we wanted a chicken plate. We even asked what it came with to make sure there was no confusion. After that, we added more items to our order, all of it was to-go.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at our picnic and opened the bags, the chicken plate was missing. I tried calling the restaurant, but it was already closed, so there was no way to fix the issue and I ended up with no food.
I understand that staff can have long days and may be tired, but that shouldn’t affect the accuracy of customers’ orders. If a cashier is overwhelmed, there should be support in place to prevent mistakes like this.
Sadly, I don’t feel confident returning, as I can’t trust that I’ll receive exactly what I order. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because customers deserve to feel heard and valued.

I visited MezzeMe today based on a friend’s recommendation. The staff were very kind and attentive — excellent service overall. However, I was quite disappointed with the food. The quality was far below what one would expect from authentic Turkish cuisine. The flavors were average, the portions were small, and the prices felt too high for what was served. Additionally, several dishes were not properly cooked, which made the experience even more underwhelming.
Later in the day, I also experienced some mild stomach discomfort. I can’t say for sure whether it was from the food or drink, but it’s worth noting as it affected my overall impression.
We traveled from Houston to try this place, and unfortunately, it doesn’t come close to the quality of many Turkish restaurants there. I genuinely hope the restaurant can improve its food preparation and better reflect the richness of Turkish culinary traditions.
I’m sharing this feedback not to criticize harshly, but to contribute to the restaurant’s improvement and success. The potential is definitely there — I hope to see it grow stronger in the future.

I try to avoid to give negative feedbacks particularly to restaurants but unfortunately in this place doner plate was horrible. Meat was greasy and texture was not good. Atmosphere and service were good.

I ordered the döner plate, but the portion was noticeably small — far below what one would reasonably expect for a main dish. The side vegetables lacked freshness and balance; the raw onion, in particular, overwhelmed the plate with its sharp, acrid flavor.
I specifically asked for a tabbouleh salad, but what arrived was more of a vegetable bulgur mix — quite distant from a proper tabbouleh in both composition and taste.
Hygiene was another concern. There were piles of dirty dishes clearly visible in the back, and the number of flies in the area was hard to ignore. These details suggest a lack of care not just in presentation but in overall kitchen discipline.
In sum, both the culinary execution and the general dining experience left much to be desired.
