As a regular devoted #9 I enjoy the best tortilla chips and salsa (red and diablo) in the area. Stephanie and Regina always make our group feel welcome. The food is great and the service even better.

Asked if the horchata was made fresh. Never received a bigger lie in my life. HAD to send it back.
Had the carne guisada, flavor was good but it was hard to chew.
Waiter said tortillas are pretty good but they were so basic (flour tortillas)
I will say that im extra judgy because im Mexican-American, so I've had the best Tex-Mex food from Houston, TX 💙
Anyway, the chips were really good, the salsa was spicy, which i loved. The queso was good as well, and the service was good. I will also say, the music they had playing was great! Very tejano, although it was a bit too loud.

My credit card was skimmed here, as less than an hour after the meal was charged, it was used at walmart.com for $291.99, without my permission. When I went back and talked to the manager (Jose), he did not appear to be familiar with what skimming was and didn't seem to understand how a credit card could be compromised. Odd, since at least one previous review complains of skimming. He told me to send an email about the incident to the restaurant's website. Going to do so, but I am also posting this .

For a little over $20 I got the worst migas plate ever nothing had flavor and there was nothing but cheap oily cheese smothering the entire migas and the beans taste like nothing.

Great service, food is good value. Not the best, but not expensive. The parking is terrible.

I'm from Austin so Mi Madre's is a quintessential thread in the tapestry of my Austin experience - I've started going for lunch on my lunch break and if you happen to be served by Gina you will absolutely have the best Mi Madre's experience possible! (which for me is an ice cold dr. Pepper and some Saltillo dip on the shaded patio) Highly suggest stopping in if you haven't been!

I usually buy takeout. After trying several taco restaurants, this one is the most delicious. The one with meat and salsa and other ingredients is perfect, my favorite. Its meaty flavor without so many condiments is just what I usually look for.

So amazing!!! One of my favorite restaurants in Austin!!! I would recommend anything with eggs. My friends like to get their tacos, while I like the migas! The guacamole is incredibly, I highly recommend getting it as well. In addition, if you like coffee, they have so many delicious options!! Finally, the outdoor patio is so nice if you can get a spot out there!!

I visited Mi Madres in Austin after hearing a lot of hype about their breakfast burrito, but I was underwhelmed. The burrito tasted like something I could whip up at home—nothing special. What really threw me off, though, was the horchata. It tasted like a virgin piña colada, which totally missed the mark for what horchata is supposed to be. And then we noticed the menu listed the burrito at $13, but we were charged $14.50. Not a huge deal, but just added to the disappointment. With so many great spots in Austin, this one didn’t live up to the buzz for us.

Guacamole was so creamy. Crispy Taco plate was very good. Rice was fluffy. Carne guisada was delicious too.

This is our go to restaurant for Mexican food when we are in Austin. The food, service, and atmosphere are always top notch!! The food is always delicious! Love brunch! Their chips & salsa are so good. Different from other Mexican restaurants. Love huevo rancheros which comes with carne guisada meat. So good and tender, best flavor. Love over easy eggs. Their flour tortillas are delicious too!! My husband had a yummy breakfast taco with eggs, bacon, cheese, and potatoes. So good. Their top shelf margaritas are delicious, on the rocks or frozen with floater on top!! The service is excellent, our server Faith, always takes the best care of us!! Love Donald too! Best GM! He always stops to chat with us. We always come back!! 😊😊
