My friend and I decided to go to Austin from Houston to take a good day and lunch, we decided this restaurant but we really have a bad experience, the service was terrible, the food also, the waiters need more good costumers service.

Food is unbelievably good. Chicken is really fresh and high quality. People are very nice, and it's authentic.

Great spot with great food. Their carne guisada is awesome. Parking is mostly on the street so be ready.

We had the Beef Enchiladas that were delicious. Perfect Spanish Rice with yummy beans. Side with chopped lettuce & tomatoes. The Salsa & Queso was excellent with the homemade chips too. My 85 year young Mom loves this restaurant & my Brother drives in from Austin for take out. The breakfast is Outstanding as well. I highly recommend!

This place has gotten more expensive over the years. Above mid Tex Mex but I like the vibe and the cantarito. Tacos are usually pretty loaded. Wouldn’t get the loaded fries or guac again

The food was actually the best mexican food I've had since moving to Austin. I ordered the beef enchiladas with red sauce, and it tasted magnificent. I was taken aback by the flavor. It took a little while to actually get our order taken but the food made up.

Our entrees were delicious! The queso was definitely lacking some, but it was still good nonetheless. The salsa & chips were amazing! We’d come back just for the chips. The chicken quesadilla I ordered was perfect. My husband ordered the Mi Hijo and he absolutely loved it! Would definitely recommend!

Edit: Bringing this down to 4 stars since a meat quesadilla has become $20.
The carne guisada taco with cheese (#7) is extremely good. It tastes like a taco bell chili cheese burrito, but if it was high quality and home-made. Queso was a little bland, but the tortilla chips were very tasty. Prices were completely reasonable for a sit down mexican place (around $4 taco, around $11 meal).

Service and place was good. Food was very average and not worth the price. I had the guisada and have had better at other places. Drinks are a little more pricy. I would rather go to

There's something special here. The server helped us narrow down our choices, making superb recommendations. Everything was divine, but especially the spiced coffee. I was offered coffee to go after we paid, the sure way to win me over. Thanks for such a stunning breakfast experience!
