We happened upon this place by accident but we're glad we did. We just had a caesar salad, the carrots, and the beet salad special and all were phenomenal. Brad, the bartender, was great and made sure to let us know of the feature that wasn't even on the menu without us having to ask. We appreciated him and the whole experience.

Ordered 5 dishes. The garlic shrimp was my favourite. The others were alright but nothing too outstanding.

Gross!

Please direct your attention to the photos included here. One of them is a screenshot of the "carbonara" from another review so the owners cannot say it was an accident, and the other is a photo of the "carbonara" I ordered.

The noodles are identical to ramen noodles. Texture, visual appearance, taste, etc. is IDENTICAL to ramen noodles. In fact, I think they ARE ramen noodles, except for the fact that they cooked it 25 minutes past the recommended cooking time. I don't really care what excuse you have for these noodles, please throw the recipe you use for this in the GARBAGE. The egg on top was a poorly cooked, slimy afterthought.

Meatballs were overcooked and had lumps of hard and chewy pancetta inside. This was disgusting. Please throw this recipe in the garbage as well.

I would recommend this place to people without tastebuds.

The food is good and the service is good. Overall, a good experience. My rating is driven by the cost of the Tapas and overall value. Example: $14 for Confit Carrots. You get ONE carrot. You can buy 1 lb of carrots for $3-4 in the store. $14 for this serving is outrageous. Example #2: we ordered the Tuna Crudo and were asked if we wanted Crostini. I said yes, not knowing you get charged $0.50. Then I asked for more Crostini and I was charged $0.50 more. So, you pay $16 for the Tuna Crudo AND you get additional charges for the little bread. I have no issue with a total of $1, but they don't tell you ... that is my issue. I think the food is good, but when you go, look at each item for its value. Some are complete rip-offs, some are normal restaurant mark-ups.

Service was fantastic. Our waitress was very kind and attentive.

Food however, was another story.

We ordered quite a few things, and were left disappointed and with a high bill.

Oven roasted meatballs were dry, lukewarm, and tasted reheated. 5 small meatballs plopped in tomato sauce and they wanted $23 for it. Not off to a great start.

Brussel sprouts had some ingredients in it that just did not go (ie. Green apples and grapes). It was alright though despite that.

Garlic bread was good, but nothing extraordinary. I would say it was not very hot either so tells me it’s perhaps being reheated vs freshly baked per order.

Arancini was absolutely awful. I don’t know what they put inside of it, but it was yellow and slimy. The taste was off putting and not like any other arancini I have ever had (in a bad way).

Truffle fries tasted ok, but had the weirdest texture. I love French fries, but it did not taste like a fry to me. It was not fluffy, but rather spongey? Very odd and again, indicates to me that they are perhaps cooking then reheating when ordered versus freshly frying.

Now, into the mains:

The spaghetti carbonara was NOT spaghetti. It was more like overcooked ramen noodles (very short, chewy, and curly) . That completely threw off the meal and was upsetting that it was described as being a spaghetti when it’s clearly not. The poached egg was not a hit either due to the whites being runny and snotty.

The lamb and jalapeño rigatoni was probably the best thing we had that night, but even still, fell a bit flat for me. The lamb was not tender enough and needed a bit more cook time in my opinion.

Al in all, we paid about $150 and not too happy with the food. Likely won’t return and hope they take the food preparation and quality concerns in consideration for future guests. Also, the spaghetti carbonara needs to be renamed or explained about the noodles used.
