We wanted to like this place. It’s a hole in the wall, it smells. But I travel all over and ate at some awesome hole in the walls. We order, sit down. Our apps come out and as soon as they did we were swarmed with flies. It’s like the followed the food out of the kitchen. About 6 of them landing on our kimchi and chicken. Couldn’t even eat those after that. We moved tables, but still swatting flies. Now the ramen, was excellent, but almost $50 for 2 bowls of soup, 2 sides we couldn’t eat due to the flies all over it. All they could say was sorry. If they had that many flies in the front of the house, I could only imagine how many they had in the back. Stay away from this place, I shoulda called the health department at that moment. But I tried to be nice, them seeing us swatting, and not eating the sides. Goto JINYA, it’s cleaner, doesn’t smell like they have dead bodies in the back. No ac on top of it all, o work in the sun all day with no ac, nothing like going into a fly infested hot business. Wonder how many flies were in our food??? Thanks for everything, you could have did right. But didn’t. Apologies doesn’t put the money back in my pocket. No wonder the place was dead empty. I fully understand.

We went around 945-10pm. A few people were there. It’s BYOB if you want.
The veggie broth had a pinch of spice. The noodles didn’t have a particular taste to me (they’re clear), but the broth brought all the flavor.
Michi had a flavorful broth and soft sliced pork belly. The broth was creamy.
They have free water you can drink. You can purchase cans of coke, tea and other drinks.
Great music (80s hits), dim lighting and a quiet atmosphere.

It had a funk to it. The broth was good but the overall taste was not it. Also when I chose the print option the girl said you can’t see the receipt is already printed. Like okay my bad. Definitely not going back.

Ramen noodles, broth, and sides were excellent too. The atmosphere is a bit different after Demia, but service was great. Thank you for your presence to celebrate a birthday dinner.

Probably the best ramen in Austin. That being said... tables were sticky, got bit by a mosquito 4x indoors, we were the only customer, and it took 20 minutes to get our ramen. We ordered dipping noodle and tori ramen with a side of mayu (black garlic oil) and a bottled texas sweet tea for lunch. Came out to around $38. Almost $20 a person after tip.
Flavor wise, both ramen tasted great. The tori ramen was foamy?? Both noodles could have been better, tasted a bit like the cheap noodles from the supermarket. Porkbelly was 50 cents extra and really thin but wasn't freezer burned.
Noodles were slightly undercooked for the tsukemen/dipping noodles.
Chopsticks were disposible, and water cups were styrofoam that you had to get yourself. The lighting was very dark, and the menu was hard to read. Staff was friendly.
If I were to come back, I'd order to-go.

I came in a 11:10 and was told by the person taking the order “ I am grumpy as I have had a long day”. I said thank you and left. Poor service. Maybe change your hours if you can’t provide service.

Kitchen actually closes at 11:30 and you had better get there sooner or else you most likely will be leaving empty handed.

I love salty food. The Ramen was the Saltiest ever I've had, I wasn't able to finish it. Was saltier than I expected. There's a reason there's so little people here now.

Great flavors! Definitely not the most clean-feeling atmosphere, though.

This was actually the worst ramen I’ve had in austin. Noodles were stale, broth was way too salty, meat wasn’t tender at all, and they forgot the mushrooms. I felt gross eating it after because the meat was so chewy. The price is ridiculous for the quality, packet microwaveable ramen is better than this.

Never coming again and HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE ELSE FROM COMING.
Where to begin....This place is basically legalized robbery. Waited 10 mins just to order at the kiosk. Had to pay over $30 for the food (and, of course tip!) BEFORE it came out, which would be okay if the food didn't take over 40 minutes to arrive. All we ordered were two vegetarian ramen and a bowl of edame. When the food finally arrived, it came with zero plates or utensils. I'm all down for finger food, but a big bowl of hot soup doesn't strike me as such. All of this was in addition to a truly uninviting, dirty, and sticky dining room. The entire staff was in pijamas, including the person who was assumed to be the cook in the kitchen. Stay away.

Place has not been cleaned for months. Dishes on other tables waiting to be picked up 40 min after we sat down. Waited 45 min for edamame and another extra 10 min for ramens made of frozen vegetables floating in water. Also no spoons or chopsticks were given with the ramen. If you don’t end up with GI issues after this, consider it a win. Will not go back.
