I love the Ilha Formosa Taiwanese popup on the weekends. The lunchbox, sesame noodles, beef noodle soup, and winter melon tea were delicious! I prefer my sesame noodles cold in typical Taiwanese style with julienned carrot, cucumber, and egg, but they serve it warm, so pro tip to order that item to go and add your own fixings at home. Also request to add mustard greens to all dishes. I wish the popup were available weekdays too! Very nostalgic items, and will definitely become a staple. My only suggestion is to add more lighting, as it’s a bit dark if you dine in. For now, just order your items to go.

I wasn't sure I was at the right place when we walked in. This location is inside a small market and there was no one else in the store. However the ramen was delicious. We went for lunch and had the Sapporo ramen. Very very good. Service was good. Don't be fooled by the area and the spot.

Visited 7-30-24 and there was a really bad sewage smell coming up from the dining area floor (not near the bathroom). It was so strong I had to walk away while they were making the food.
There was nothing wrong with the food, but to keep a dining area open with a sewage issue is pretty gross. I'm not sure what is wrong but if there is a sewage backup then the place probably shouldn't be open. Seems like it would be breaking health code.
(This is also an Asian market grocery with some products like teas, candy, spices, sodas. The shelves are usually half empty)

Walking in it doesn’t feel like much. The grocery section looks sparse and a bit run down, but the eatery section is cute. Hipster vibe with the decor and music, but great ambiance overall.

The broth doesn’t taste the same, the broth tasted burnt. The takoyaki was overcooked and rubbery. This was not a good experience. Person didn’t even put in my takoyaki order in. I used to come here all the time and it was good. I’m pregnant and craving this and came all the way from Smithville to this location and I’m extremely disappointed.
