“Food was immaculate overall. Jess was an amazing server. Just two things I’d change. Wait to bring the bill until it’s asked, I’m sure it’s standard procedure but if I wanted to order more it shuts that down. And second, the coconut malabi needs less or no salt at all in the base, it over powered it.“

“I just stopped by here for a falafel plate and everything was delicious and fresh. I wasn’t sure what to expect at 10pm on a Sunday, but the hummus, falafel (with fresh mint leaves, which was great), salad, and rice were all just delicious. I can’t speak to the meats since I didn’t get any, but I would definitely eat this again!“

“My family reserved Dimassis restaurant (Research Blvd) for 150 guests for a meet & greet function for my new born son. I must say, every single guest enjoyed the experience that Dimassis provided. Abu Ali and Sammy were great hosts. The service was amazing. The food was hot, plentiful , and very delicious. The restaurant was very clean as well. It was a 10/10 experience , a five star experience.“

“As an owner you should not deceive people by advertising this as a set down restaurant. You should clearly indicate it’s only take away. The food was good but we had to eat our food in the pick up lobby because we drove 40 minutes to get to this place and we didn’t want to take it away other wise the food will get cold.“

“The first time I tried the falafel wrap from Halal Taza, I went back 2 more nights in a row because it was so good. I have been telling people about this place and brought my husband there and he loved it as well. The food is consistent, flavorful and the veggies are always fresh. We crave this food all the time and even drive 35 min out of our way to get it! 10 out of 10“

“I ordered catering from Abu Omar first time. I had eaten at the food truck many times. They really improved their service quality better. And the taste was really great both the gyro and chicken shawarma. And their menu has improved as well. Many more options added. I wanna try this more often

“It was good, but, I’ve had better in town. We had chicken shawarma - the hot sauce on it is pretty spicy so if you don’t like spicy then you might ask that to be left off or on the side. The hummus is good. Pita is good but not great, and same for falafel - a little too crispy and tough for me. I see a lot of great reviews so maybe it was just an off day.“

“Halal place near campus that has the usual menu: gyro, chicken, falafel, etc. You order from a tablet at the front counter and then pick it up from there once it’s ready. Definitely seems like most people did takeaway, but they have seating in the restaurant if, like me, you want to eat in. Ordered the chicken shawarma on rice, tabbouleh, and lemonade. Shawarma plate was delicious with the sauces and had lots of meat and vegetables. Tabbouleh was good but it tasted a lot more lemony than I was used to (maybe regional difference thing). Good prices for the amount of food you get. Recommend if you are near UT campus and need a quick lunch.“

Not only did Zeki work with me to build custom orders for the group, he was responsive and thorough in his communication. “Vegan food choice, got it, to go , small amount and plain food no flavor boulder pop needed to.fast service small inside not much of decorative, of place feeling ,nice staff, The hummus was very plain and too much oil,. Eggplant dip was not smoking enough, and it did taste very plain. It did not taste like eggplant fully the grape leaf was itself oily and yes, you did taste the lemon and the rice was cooked. Very well done almost like baby food melting in your mouth sweet lemony flavor very easy to break with a fork. The falafel needs more flavor profile pop his little too dark for my taste. I want the falafel to be little lighter in the color. I did not like the green bell peppers salad.

Updating my review. I still love the food and it will always be on my go to when I'm on this side of town.
HOWEVER the website was being very slow and made ordering online was not convenient. I tried to call and make and order and was told they don't do orders over the phone with no explanation as to why. Customer service failed today
Love love gyros. While it does take a while to come out, it is because the food is prepared when I order it and it's fresh. It's a place I come to eat consecutively.“
