I'm a regular at Milonga, and once again had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is consistently incredible and the overall vibe is always spot on, which is why it's one of my go-to places in Austin for cocktails. The spicy skinny margaritas remain my favorite — easily the best I've had outside of Mexico — and the quality and consistency never miss. Milonga is an excellent choice for cocktails for any occasion, and I always look forward to returning.
Excellent ambiance, excellent drinks and the music was fantastic. Service was super friendly
Felt more like a general bar vibe since it was very loud rather than a calmer classier speakeasy experience that we had in other speakeasies. Was surprised at the automatic 20% gratuity for our party of 2. We've never been charged that at any other locations in the area so didn't expect it here. The drinks were good though and had a nice presentation. Ended up only staying for one drink since the noise level was too loud to enjoy more time there and an odd smell throughout the room.
Andrew and Jacky were amazing hosts. They took the time to discuss their cocktail expertise and share stories. We had an absolute blast as a date night after airport drop off. East 6th is a great area and we highly recommend Milonga Room. The food was excellent also. Highly recommend the empanadas and cheese board.

Great cocktails and ambience! Great way to end the evening after dinner upstairs at Buenos Aires Cafe.
Servers were not very friendly and the drinks are over priced - $22 a drink. 5 girlfriends went for my friends 30th and they never told us about a time limit at the start or gave us a warning so when we went to order another round they said we actually needed to check out 5 minutes ago and handed us the check. We felt kicked out. Keep in mind they took about 30 min to make the drinks. Would have been fine with a time limit but most places give a warning before hand or handle it nicely.

Incredible place to go for a drink. The ambience is stylish without feeling stuffy or ornate. Drinks are super tasty. Music was on point.

We had such a lovely Saturday night here. The drinks are delicious and strong. The setting is intimate and we enjoyed the ambiance. I would go back with a date or small group of friends.
Amazing atmosphere in this small setting, cocktail “Niche” was superb and the bartenders did an amazing job with the drinks and recommended the Spicy Dark Crème Brulee! Can’t recommend this place high enough- you’re so lucky to find a place in Austin that can make a drink and carry on conversation- cheers to Andrew & Jackie for their candor and professional way they handle cocktails!

Servers completely forgot to come over and check on our table. There were only five tables there, but we were completely ignored until we had to stop another person to ask for our check after not being asked to grab another drink, even though we have been there an hour then when we asked for our check and gave them our debit card The server kept joking around with other servers playing on his phone and showing them text messages, making us wait another 10 minutes to leave because they had our card... honestly I've been here before drinks are great, but this was a very unpleasant experience. I didn't even get to order anything else or it just seems like they didn't even care. We were there to spend money.
I wanted to like this place so bad! It was a bunch of little things that added up. Servers were reasonably friendly but just kinda dropped a menu on the table. Other craft cocktail places kinda explain the menu a bit, the themes, steer you to something that is a good fit for you. But not here. Also I think being in a basement it must be kinda musty or something as my girlfriends sinuses instantly plugged up. The drinks were OK, not outstanding. I guess for $22 for a cocktail I expect an experience on par with other cocktail bars, which are in the $16-$18 range. By the time I tipped and got out of there I paid $60 for two drinks. With so many other solid offerings in Austin I won’t repeat.
