Servers completely forgot to come over and check on our table. There were only five tables there, but we were completely ignored until we had to stop another person to ask for our check after not being asked to grab another drink, even though we have been there an hour then when we asked for our check and gave them our debit card The server kept joking around with other servers playing on his phone and showing them text messages, making us wait another 10 minutes to leave because they had our card... honestly I've been here before drinks are great, but this was a very unpleasant experience. I didn't even get to order anything else or it just seems like they didn't even care. We were there to spend money.

I wanted to like this place so bad! It was a bunch of little things that added up. Servers were reasonably friendly but just kinda dropped a menu on the table. Other craft cocktail places kinda explain the menu a bit, the themes, steer you to something that is a good fit for you. But not here. Also I think being in a basement it must be kinda musty or something as my girlfriends sinuses instantly plugged up. The drinks were OK, not outstanding. I guess for $22 for a cocktail I expect an experience on par with other cocktail bars, which are in the $16-$18 range. By the time I tipped and got out of there I paid $60 for two drinks. With so many other solid offerings in Austin I won’t repeat.

Me and my best friend did a cute date night at Milonga Room and when I say I don’t know how we didn’t find this place sooner, it truly is a hidden gem.

The Carajillo was rich, velvety, and perfectly balanced, a delicious blend of espresso and sweet vanilla warmth. The Aperol Spritz was bright, bubbly, and refreshing, like a little burst of summer in a glass. Every drink feels custom made, with the bartenders walking you through the flavor notes and making sure it’s exactly to your liking.
But what truly sets this place apart is the service. Andrew, the manager, is a master of hospitality, warm, welcoming, and effortlessly making you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Took a friend of mine there for the first time last night and they absolutely loved it! Food and drinks were great as always, the empanadas definitely hit the spot for the both of us. The bartender was amazing as well and gave my friend a little birthday drink!
